Objective:This study was aimed to understand the current status of posttraumatic growth(PTG)in parents of children with malignant tumor,and to investigate the effect of self-disclosure intervention on PTG,resilience,coping style and depression in parents of children with malignant tumor,in order to provide a scientific basis of clinical nurses who could carry out psychological intervention for parents of children with malignant tumor.Methods:80 cases of parents of children with malignant tumor were selected as research models in pediatric oncology and hemato-oncology department in a grade A tertiary hospital of Changchun during December 2015 to December 2016.The samples were divided into intervention group and control group using the stratified-random sampling method,each group includes 40 cases.The control group was given the routine nursing care,in addition to the regular care,intervention group received a three-month self-disclosure intervention.All participants were measured by the Posttraumatic Growth Inventory(PTGI),Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC),Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ)and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS),outcome measures were carried out at three time points respectively at before the intervention,intervention after 1 month and 3 months,and to analyze the effect of intervention.Results:1.The total score of posttraumatic growth of parents who have a child with malignant tumor was 61.93±11.54,item average score of five dimensions from high to low was appreciation of life(3.76±0.66),individual strength(3.46±0.90),relationship with other people(2.96±1.13),self-transformation(2.56±0.68),new possibilities(2.20±1.01).2.Compare the PTG and mental resilience scores of two groups in parents of children with malignant tumor :After intervention for 1 month,the intervention group and the controlgroup in the total score of PTG,appreciation of life,individual strength,relationship with other people,new possibilities score on the four dimensions were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention for 3 months,the two groups scores of PTG total score and score in five dimensions were statistically significant difference(P <0.05).After intervention for 1month,there was no statistically significant difference between the intervention group and the control group on mental resilience scores(P>0.05),but after intervention for 3 months,there was statistically significant difference between the two groups on mental resilience scores(P<0.05).3.Compare the coping style and depression scores of two groups in parents of children with malignant tumors :After intervention for 1 month,the positive coping style scores of the two groups in parents of children with malignant tumor were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention for 3 months,the positive coping style scores and the negative coping style scores between the intervention group and the control group were statistically significant difference(P < 0.05).After intervention for 1 month and 3 months,there was statistically significant difference between the intervention group and the control group on depression scores(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Self-disclosure intervention can effectively improve the posttraumatic growth level of parents of children with malignant tumor,the total score of posttraumatic growth and the five dimensions of appreciation of life,self-transformation,relationship with other people,individual strength,new possibilities were significantly improved.2.Self-disclosure intervention could significantly improve the level of mental resilience and reduce the level of depression in parents of children with malignant tumor.3.Self-disclosure intervention can promote parents who have a child with malignant tumor to adopt more positive coping style and less negative coping style.
