Clinical Observation On The Acute Ankle Sprain With Banfa Manipulation

PurposeThrough the clinical observation of Banfa manipulation on acute ankle sprain with swelling degree,VAS score,AOFAS ankle function score and ankle joint assessment of the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine,we analyze the clinical effect of Banfa manipulation in the treatment of acute ankle sprain.Method60 cases of the patients of acute ankle joint sprain which is met the requirements were divided into two groups,the experimental group with ankle Banfa manipulation method as the main means of intervention,with the conventional Tuina therapy as a basic treatment.We treat the ankle on the first days,second days,fourth days and 7 days.The control group based on conventional Tuina therapy combined with Yunnan Baiyao aerosol spray to spray three times in one day for 7 consecutive days,respectively in the subjects of first days,second days,fourth days and 7 days for the conventional Tuina therapy.Respectively before treatment and after treatment we test and record the resting and walking VAS score,swelling,AOFAS ankle function score and TCM syndrome curative effect evaluation.ResultThere was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in the age,sex,the distribution of the foot and the course of disease(P>0.05).There was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group with VAS score,swelling degree,AOFAS ankle joint function score and TCM symptoms before treatment(P>0.05).After the treatment,the effective rate of the experimental group was 100%,and the curative effect was 21 cases,effective in 8 cases,and ineffective in the control group(n=0).The effective rate of the control group was 100%,and the cure rate was effective in 0 cases,markedly effective in the treatment of 7 cases,effective in 23 cases,and ineffective in 0 cases.After 1 weeks of treatment,the differences of two group with the walking and resting VAS,Swelling,AOFAS ankle joint function score of two groups were statistically significant,suggesting that the two methods of treatment can heal the spring ankle.After 1 weeks of treatment,the difference value by experimental group to the control group before and after treatment of walking and resting VAS,joint swelling,ankle joint function score and total score of AOFAS was statistically significant(P>0.05),suggesting that ankle Banfa manipulation has a better effect in improving pain,swelling and joint function.Conclusion:The experiment proved that Banfa manipulation combined with conventional Tuina and Yunnan Baiyao aerosol spray combined with conventional Tuina therapy can improve the acute sprain of ankle pain,swelling and ankle function.Beside Banfa manipulation combined with conventional Tuina have a better curative effect.
