Objective:Using Bold-fMRI technique to obtain the brain activation areas, which are caused by acupuncturing right Feiyang point of bladder meridian and its corresponding non-point of healthy subjects.Combination Traditional Chinese Meridians with neurology knowledge explores the treatment mechanism of acupuncturing Feiyang point.Through comparing the brain activation areas of acupuncturing point and its corresponding non-point,to prove that acupuncture can cause specific activation of relevant brain areas, and it provides a more intuitive visual imaging basis for the specificity of points. Methods:A total of 20 healthy male right-handed graduate students in Heilongjiang University Of Chinese Medicine were selected as the subjects of this study,Using the PHILPS 3.0T dual source dual gradient magnetic resonance scanner to collect the brain Bold image data of acupuncturing right Feiyang point of bladder meridian and its corresponding non-point.The image data were processed and analyzed by SPM12 software, finally, the location of the brain activation areas, the voxel value and the activation degree were obtained.Results:1.Acupuncturing Feiyang point mainly activate neurohypoph-ysis including left posterior central gyrus, cerebellum, superior temporal gyrus, parietal lobe;right cerebellum,insula,midbrain,thal-amus,superior temporal gyrus, middle frontal gyrus.2.Acupuncturing Feiyang point mainly deactivate neurohypophysis including left limbic lobe-fusiform gyrus?anterior cingulate gyrus, posterior central gyrus, midbrain;Right hippocampal gyrus, amygdala, frontal lobe, posterior cerebellum lobe, occipital lobe.3.Acupuncturing the corresponding non-point mainly activate Neurohypophysis including left anterior cerebellum lobe, insular, inferior parietal lobule, limbic lobe, superior frontal gyrus;right middle frontal gyrus,insula.4.Acupuncturing the corresponding non-point without negati-ve activation area.Conclusion:1.Acupuncturing the right Feiyang point of the subjects can cause a specific response in the brain activation area.2.Acupuncturing different points in the same meridian can cause similar brain reaction.3.Acupuncturing Feiyang point treats pain mechanism caused by prolapse of lumbar intervertebral disc may be related to reg ulate neuronal activity in multiple brain regions, such as the hyp othalamus, midbrain, hippo campus, amygdala and cingulategyrus.4.Brain activation areas by acupuncturing the non-point may be related to "stress state" of subjects.
