Objective:Using the technique of blood oxygen level dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging(Bold-fMRI),the changes of brain activation and local consistency(ReHo)of resting brain area before and after acupuncture at primary collateral points-Jinggu and feiyang points of right Foot-Taiyang bladder meridian were studied The characteristics of brain activation caused by acupuncture at Jinggu and Feiyang points were analyzed.Explain the correlation between acupuncture at two points and its main treatment were discussed. The change in ReHo value before and after acupuncture was compared to further evaluate the sustained effect of acupuncture Methods:Eighteen healthy male volunteers from Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected as subjects, all of them were right-handed.Brain Bold signal data were collected by Philips 3.0T dual-source dual-gradient magnetic resonance scanner at Jinggu and Feiyang group points of the right foot bladder meridian, and fMRI data were collected before and after acupuncture Post-processing and statistical analysis of image data using software packages such as SPM12,DPASFA,and xj View, the information of the location, voxel value, activation degree and ReHo value of activated brain area caused by acupuncture at Jinggu and Feiyang groups were obtainedResults:1.Acupuncture of points in Jinggu and Feiyang groups can induce positive activation of brain areas, including right middle temporal gyrus, superior temporal gyrus, inferior frontal gyrus, superior frontal gyrus, fusiform gyrus, left anterior cerebellum, posterior cerebellar lobe, superior temporal gyrus, fusiform gyrus, prefrontal cuneiform lobe, middle frontal gyrus, superior frontal gyrus and central anterior gyrus2.Negative activation of brain area was not observed in Jinggu and Feiyang groups.3.The increased ReHo values in resting state before and after needling Jinggu and Feiyang mainly include right posterior cerebellum, anterior cerebellum, medial frontal gyrus, anterior cingulate gyrus, cingulate gyrus, inferior parietal lobule, insula, left marginal lobe, parahippocampal gyrus, middle frontal gyrus and insula.4.The brain regions with decreased ReHo in resting state before and after needling Jinggu and Feiyang mainly include right anterior central gyrus, anterior cuneiform lobe, left cingulate gyrus, anterior cingulate gyrus, inferior parietal lobule and superior frontal gyrus.Conclusion:1.Acupuncture at Jinggu and Feiyang groups is not a simple superposition of the two single points, but a redistribution of the central nervous system;compared with single points, the activation range of the two points is wider and stronger.2.Acupuncture at Jinggu and Feiyang groups can activate brain areas related to their clinical treatment, and the effect of group acupoints on brain areas related to somatic movement and cognitive function may be the embodiment of synergistic effect of acupoints.3.Compared with before acupuncture, the ReHo value changed in many brain regions of bilateral brain after acupuncture, which indicated that the effect of acupuncture still existed after needle extraction and might last for a period of time.
