Acne is a chronic inflammatory disease of the common hair follicle and sebaceous gland, occurs in adolescents.Acne vulgaris is the most common clinical types of acne.Skin lesions occur in the cheeks, forehead, posteriorly the chest, back and shoulder, most distributed symmetrically, and often accompanied by seborrhea. In recent years, acne vulgaris has showed high incidence rate in our country while in clinical there are various treatment. In this paper we observed the clinical therapeutic effect of the blade needling on acne vulgaris, hoping to give more choice of clinical treatment for acne vulgaris. Objective:By observing the curative effect of blade needle therapy for acne vulgaris,we hope to evaluate the clinical efficacy and feasibility of blade needle treatment on acne vulgaris, and to explore the possible mechanism of blade needle treatment on acne vulgaris, broaden the ideas for the clinical treatment of acne vulgaris. Methods:According to the diagnostic standard of both TCM and Western medicine,we collected 60 cases of acne vulgaris patients.Sixty patients were randomly divided into treatment(blade needle)group and control(acupuncture)group,30 cases in each group. The treatment group was given blade needle treatment 2 times each week,4 weeks for a course and 3 courses of treatment in total. While the control group was given acupuncture treatment 5 times each week,4 weeks for a course and 3 courses of treatment in total. We recorded the acne count, skin color and with the changes of symptom score and other indicators of each patient before and after treatment, and using statistical methods to analyze data,to evaluate the curative effect.Result:1.Data comparison of before/after treatment of intra-group:Test the acne counts, related symptoms score test results of the two groups before and after treatment,we got P<0.01,which means that there are significant differences before and after the experiment and the two methods of treatment group and control the group of acne vulgaris have obvious curative effect.2.Statistical test of acne classification and skin lesions fading rate after treatment in two groups showed that P<0.05,meaning that acne classification and skin lesions fading rate after treatment in two groups are significantly different. The treatment group improvement of acne classification and skin lesions fading rate was significantly higher than that of control group.3.After treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 86.7%,and the total effective rate of the blade needle group was better than that of the acupuncture group(P<0.01)in the control group(73.3%.)4.1n the types of the lung-heat syndrome and heat-dampness blocking syndrome the total effective rate of the blade needle group were higher than those in acupuncture group(P<0.05);and in the phlegm-damp syndrome and the maladjustment of the chong and ren syndrome, the total efficiency of two groups showed no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion:In this study we combined medical theory of TCM and research techniques and methods of modern medicine to observe the effect of blade needle treatment on acne vulgaris in related indexes before and after treatment. After data statistical analysis,we draw the following conclusions:1.Blade needle therapy and acupuncture both have obvious curative effect on treatment of acne vulgaris.2.Blade needle therapy has definite advantage in total effective rate, improvement of acne classification and skin lesions fading rate.3.Blade needle therapy shows higher total effective rate in the types of the lung-heat syndrome and heat-dampness blocking syndrome than simple acupuncture. In clinical practice we should chose therapeutic methods according to the needs of patients. But in the actual operation, the blade needle gets longer treatment interval, longer lasting effects, less pain and better effect, being more time-saving,therefore is more suitable for those patients who couldn't come for treatment everyday.
