ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of the Gusan Decoction in the treatment of chest contusion of Qi stagnation and Blood stasis type, and to promote the clinical application of the Gusan Decoction.MethodsA total of 80 patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly selected from the Orthopedics and Emergency department of Foshan Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine from March 2016 to January 2017.They were randomly divided into two groups, which were called the observation group(group A)and the control group(group B),each of them had 40 cases. Two groups were carried out the conventional treatment measures, such as orally taking the Celecoxib capsules, external application of the BaiYao ointment, reminding patients to rest, avoid catching cold and have a light diet etc.Observation group(group A):orally taking the Gusan Decoction combined with the conventional treatment measures;the control group(group B):only used the conventional treatment measures;the treatment course for two groups was 2 weeks. The patients in two groups were measured the area of ecchymosis, the pain soft tissue displacement by using the tensiometer, reminded to fill out the VAS pain score questionnaire and the Soft tissue injury symptom grading scale before the treatment, after the treatment of the first week and the second week.Efficacy was assessed at the second week of the treatment, and safety measures were also be recorded. Two weeks after drug withdrawal,follow-up statistics of the recovery situation, recovery time and recurrence would be made for the patients.Research would be made to study the efficacy of the Gusan Decoction in the treatment of Chest contusion of Qi stagnation and Blood stasis type, clarify its clinical effect, and provide the clinical basis for the treatment of Chest contusion of Qi stagnation and Blood stasis type.Results1.Before the treatment, two groups of patients' general information(gender ratio, age distribution, injury side, cause of injury, time of treatment)and basic conditions(ecchymosis area, pain soft tissue displacement,VAS pain score, symptom score of soft tissue injury)were similar, there was no significant difference between two groups, both of two group were comparable(P>0.05).2.After the treatment, two groups of ecchymosis area, pain soft tissue displacement,VAS pain score, symptom score of soft tissue injury were improved(P<0.05 or 0.01).The ecchymosis area,VAS pain score, symptom score of soft tissue injury decreased with the increase of time(P<0.05 or 0.01),while the pain soft tissue displacement increased with the time increased(P<0.05 or 0.01).In the first and the second week of the treatment, the ecchymosis area,VAS pain score, symptom score of soft tissue injury in the observation group(A group)were all lower than the control group(B group)(P<0.05 or 0.01),but the pain soft tissue displacement in the observation group(A group)was higher than that of the control group(B group)(P<0.05 or 0.01).3.Final efficacy evaluation:the total efficacy in the observation group(group A)was higher than that of the control group(B group)(P<0.05 or 0.01);the recovery time in the observation group(group A)was shorter than the control group(B group)(P<0.05 or 0.01);the incidence of adverse reactions in both groups were low,and there was no significant difference between two groups(P>0.05).ConclusionThe Gusan Decoction has favorable curative effect in the treatment of Chest contusion of Qi stagnation and Blood stasis type, which can not only effectively relieve the pain, the ecchymosis and any other symptoms that caused by the chest contusion of Qi stagnation and Blood stasis type, but also can shorten the recovery time.what's more,it has highly safety without any obvious adverse reactions,so it is worthy of making clinical promotion.
