To Observe The Curative Effect Of Rongsui Formula Combined With Lumbar Traction For The Treatment Of Lumbar Disc Herniation With Qi Stagnation And Blood Stasis Syndrome

Objective: To observe and compare the curative effect of Rongsui formula combined with lumbar traction and western medicine of diclofenac sodium sustained release tablets combined with lumbar traction for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation with qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome,and the role of Rongsui formula combined with lumbar traction in the treatment of this disease,so as to provide theoretical basis and guidance of Chinese medicine for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation with qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome.Methods: In patients attending to the clinic and the inpatients of the department of Orthopedics,the Affiliated Hospital of University,a total of68 cases of patients were incorporated in the study who were all in accordance with the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria of lumbar disc herniation with qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome.Enrolled patients were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the time sequence of seeing doctor using random number table,34 cases in each group.Patients in the treatment group takes 30 g Rongsui formula combined with lumbar traction daily for 4 weeks;while patients in the control group takes 75 mg diclofenac sodium sustained release tablets combined with lumbar traction daily for 4 weeks.For the determination of the clinical efficacy,routine safety indexes of JOA score,VAS score,ODI score,comprehensive evaluation of clinical efficacy,liver and kidney function were observed before the treatment,as well as 2 weeks and 4 weeks after treatment,adverse reaction rates were further estimated.The experimental data were processed by SPSS22.0 statistical software,and expressed as mean±standard deviation,P<0.05 meant that there was statistical significance.Results:(1)JOA score:(1)After 2 weeks of treatment,compared with the same group before treatment,the patients in both groups had a slight increase in JOA score,which was statistically significant compared between groups(P<0.05),yet there was no significant difference in JOA score between groups(P>0.05);(2)After 4 weeks of treatment,the JOA score was significantly different from that of the same group at the end of treatment for2 weeks(P<0.05),meanwhile,the difference of JOA score between groups was statistically significant after 4 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).(2)ODI score:(1)After 2 weeks of treatment,the ODI scores of both groups were slightly decreased,the difference was statistically significant compared with the same group before treatment(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in ODI score between groups(P>0.05);(2)After 4weeks of treatment,the ODI score was statistically different compared with the same treatment group after 2 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).While the difference of ODI score between groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)VAS score:(1)Compared with the same group before treatment,the VAS score of both groups were decreased at 2 weeks after treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no statistical difference of VAS score between groups(P>0.05);(2)There was statistical difference with respect to VAS score in the same group at 4 weeks after treatment compared to that at 2 weeks after treatment(P<0.05).Meanwhile,there was statistical difference of VAS score between groups(P<0.05).(4)Clinical efficacy: The results showed that both groups of patients underwent a period of 4 weeks of treatment.In the 31 patients of the treatment group,the total effective rate of clinical treatment was 90.3%;while in the 29 patients of the control group,the total effective rate of clinical treatment was 79.3%.Clinical efficacy of both groups was significantly different.(5)Liver and renal function and other safety indicators had no significant differences in both group before treatment and 4 weeks after treatment(P>0.05).Adverse reaction rates of 6.5% in the treatment group,the control group is 17.2%,the difference of adverse reaction rate of both groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: Both Rongsui formula combined with lumbar traction and oral administration of diclofenac sodium sustained release tablets combined with lumbar traction have certain curative effects for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation(LDH)with qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome.In the treatment period,lumbar and leg pain,as well as other symptoms and functions have been improved in the included patients to a certain extent.Rongsui formula combined with lumbar traction is superior to oral administration of diclofenac sodium sustained release tablets combined with lumbar traction for the improvement of clinical symptoms and the recovery of body function in lumbar disc herniation(LDH)patients with qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome.
