Objective:In this study,we evaluated the changes of clinical symptoms, signs and quality of daily life and work of patients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH)of Qi stagnation and blood stasis type before and after treatment, and analyzed the safety and clinical efficacy of floating needle in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation of Qi stagnation and blood stasis type by intervening myofascial pain trigger point(MTrP).In order to find a reasonable, safe, economic and effective treatment method,to promote the clinical application, improve the quality of life of patients. Methods:Seventy patients with lumbar disc herniation of Qi stagnation and blood stasis type diagnosed and treated by Guangdong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2017 to December 2018 were divided into experimental group and control group according to the principle of random allocation,35 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Huoxue Zhitong Soft Capsule plus traditional acupuncture and moxibustion, while the treatment group was treated with floating needle acupuncture on the basis of Huoxue Zhitong Soft Capsule. All patients were assessed by Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA),Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)and Visual Analogue Scale/Score(VAS)before treatment and lweek,2week and 3 months after treatment. The occurrence of adverse reactions was bserved.Statistical analysis of all patients before and after treatment JOA score,ODI score and VAS score and treatment effect. Results:There was no significant difference in sex and age between the two groups before treatment. There was no significant difference in JOA score,ODI value and VAS score between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05),but ODI value and VAS score of the experimental group at each time point were significantly lower than those of the empirical group, and JOA score of the experimental group at each time point was higher than that of the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).No obvious complications were found in all patients during follow-up.Conclusion:The application of floating needle intervention on myofascial pain trigger point(MTrP)in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation with qi stagnation and blood stasis is helpful to improve the curative effect of patients. It is a safe and reliable treatment method with low adverse reactions, which is worthy of clinical application.
