Clinical Observation Of Taohong Baidian Decoction In The Treatment Of Qi Stagnation And Blood Stasis Type Of Vitiligo

Objective:We observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Taohong Baidian decoction in the treatment of qi stagnation and blood stasis type of vitiligo in order to develop the advantages of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the treatment of vitiligo and provide a safe and effective treatment for clinical strategy.Methods: 120 of individuals with vitiligo were enrolled from the outpatient department of dermatology,Hubei Provincial hospital of Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital from May 2015 to May 2016,all of patients selected meet a criterion of qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome of vitiligo and were divided randomly into three groups:the treatment group,the control group A,and the control group B,40 cases were chosen in each group.The treatment group was dealt with Taohong Baidian decoction combined with external application of Halometasone Cream and UVB radiation,Taohong Baidian decoction was taken orally 200 ml orally,twice a day,essential medication of Taohong Baidian decoction : Radix Paeoniae Rubra 15 g,paeonol 20 g,peach 10 g,safflower 15 g,bupleurum 10 g,cicada slough 10 g,Puhuang 15 g,Salvia miltiorrhiza 20 g,angelica15g,excrementum pteropi 15 g,Caulis Spatholobi 20 g,psoralen 10 g,Ziheche 6g,angelica 10 g,duckweed 15 g.Patients in the control group A were treated with thymopeptide enteric-coated tablets combined with external application of Halometasone Cream and UVBradiation,thymopeptide enteric-coated tablets were taken 2 pills orally,3 times a day.Patients in the control group B were treated with Bozhi tablets combined with external application of halometasone Cream and UVB radiation.Bozhi tablets were taken 2pills orally,3 times a day.The observation duration was in total16 weeks,patients with vitiligo were routinely examined by assays of blood,urine,stool,liver and kidney function before and after treatment,the clinical efficacy and safety of strategy were determined at the end of 4,8,12,16 weeks respectively.4 weeks meant a course of treatment.Results:1.120 patients were enrolled in the trial at the beginning,111 cases completed and 9 cases terminated in the trial at the end.2.After 1 course of treatment,the efficacy of the treatment group was significantly superior to that of the control group A and control group B(P <0.05);these was not significant difference between the effect of the control group A and that of the control group B(P >0.05);the total effective rate of three groups were51.4%,30.6% and 26.3% respectively.3.After 2 courses of treatment,the efficacy of the treatment group was distinctly better than that of the control group A and the control group B(P <0.05);the effect rate of the control group A was obviously higher than that of the control group B(P <0.05);the total efficiency of three groups were 70.3%,50% and 28.9%respectively.4.After 3 courses of treatment,the effect rate of the treatment group and the control group A were distinctly better than that of the control group B(P < 0.05),and the effect rate of the treatment group has no significant difference compared with that of thetreatment group(P > 0.05);the total efficiency of three groups were 73%,61.1% and 42.1% respectively.5.After 4 courses of treatment,the effect rate of the treatment group and the control group A were distinctly better than that of the control group B(P < 0.05),but these was no significant difference between the effect rate of the treatment group and that of the control group A(P > 0.05);the total effect rate of three groups were 78.4%?69.4%?47.4% respectively.Conclusion:1.The patient's condition in three groups has been improved in different degree.2.The efficacy of Taohong Baidian decoction combined with Halometasone Cream and UVB radiation is superior to that of Bozhi tablets combined with Halometasone Cream and UVB radiation in the treatment of qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome of vitiligo.3.Therapy of Taohong Baidian decoction combined with Halometasone Cream and UVB radiation can improve condition more rapidly than the therapy of Thymopeptide Enteric-Coated Tablets combined with Halometasone Cream and UVB radiation.4.Taohong Baidian decoction is safe and effective in the treatment of qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome of vitiligo.
