Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of penetration needling and pricking blood therapy in treating scapulohumeral periarthritis.Based on the clinical studying of penetration needling and pricking blood therapy in treating scapulohumeral periarthritis was to objectively, scientifically investigate the effectiveness of penetration needling and pricking blood therapy in treating patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis,to furtherpromote acupuncture therapy, and to provide the basis of better treatment on scapulohumeral periarthritis for the future. Methods:Using the study method of Random number table,single-blind,the research divided the seventy patients from Hubei Provincial Hospital of Tradional Chinese Medicine(Guanggu Hospital area)into the treatment group and the control group,35 cases in each group. In the treatment group,34 cases eventually, falling off 1 case, received penetration needling and pricking blood therapy, and the penetration needling acupoints were Jianyu through Jianqian,Jianliao through Binao,Jianzhen through Naoshu,Waiguan through Neiguan(Above all with affected side),Tiaokou through Chengshan(uninjured side),and the acupuncture treatment was once a day,5 times a week,4 weeks; After the acupuncture, the patients received pricking blood therapy, twice a week, the 1st and 4th respectively after acupuncture,4 weeks. In the control group 34 cases eventually, falling off in 1 case, received the conventional acupuncture treatment, and the acupoints were Jianyu,Jianqian,Jianzhen,Yanglingquan, zhongping,Ashi points,5 times a week,4 weeks. To compare the scores of Mc Gill pain questionnaire scores,Constant-murley scores,ADL scores before treatment and after 2courses of treatment,4 courses of treatment, and the data for statistical analysis.Results:1.Improvements in pain: To compare the Mc Gill pain score of the two groups,intra-group comparison, after 2 courses of treatment and 4 courses of treatment compared with before treatment, there was a statistically significant difference for all(P<0.05),that showed the two groups were effective to improve the symptoms of the penetration needling and pricking blood therapy pain;comparison between groups, after 2 courses of tre atment, there was no statistically significant difference betwe en the two groups(P>0.05),that showed the treatment group im proved the sympt-oms of periarthritis of shoulder pain was not superior to the control group; After 4 courses of treatment, there was a stati-stically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05),that showed the treatment group improving the symptoms of periarthritis of shoulder pain was superior to the control group.2.Improvements in shoulder joint function: To compare the Constant-murley score of the two groups,intra-group comparison, after 2 courses of treatment and 4 courses of treatment compared with before treatment, there were statistically significant difference for all(P<0.05),that showed the two groups were effective to improve the function of shoulder joint activities;Comparison between groups, after 2 courses of treatment and 4courses of treatment, there were statistically significant difference between the two groups for all(P<0.05),that showed the treatment group improving the function of shoulder joint activities was superior to the control group.3.Improvements in ability to improve everyday life: To compare the ADL score of the two groups,intra-group comparison,after2 courses of treatment and 4 courses of treatment compared with before treatment, there were statistically significant difference(P<0.05),that showed the two groups were effective to improve the ability to improve everyday life;Comparison between groups, after 2 courses of treatment and 4 courses of treatment, there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups for all(P<0.05),that showed the treatment group improving the ability to improve everyday life was superior to the control group.4.Efficacy evaluation aspect:In the treatment group, the cure13 case, the marked efficacy 16 case, the efficacy 4 case, the no efficacy 1 case, and the total efficacy rate were 97.06%,respectively,in the control group, the cure 6 case, the marked efficacy 11 case, the efficacy 13 case, the no efficacy 3 case, and the total efficacy rate were 90.9%,there was statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05),the results showed that the clinical efficacy of the treatment group was superior to the control group.Conclusion:1.The two methods were all effective to improve the scapulohumeral periarthritis pain, functional activities and daily life ability;Penetration needling and pricking blood therapy in improving scapulohumeral periarthritis pain, functional activities and daily life ability had obvious advantages.2.In the short term, compared with the conventional acupuncture treatment, the penetration needling and pricking blood therapy in improving the symptoms of scapulohumeral periarthritis pain was not superior to the conventional acupuncture treatment.3.The research showed that the penetration needling and pricking blood therapy was exact curative effects for scapulohumeral periarthritis,at the same time the penetration needling and pricking blood therapy has a great clinical application value and deserves further clinical promotion.
