Clinical Observation Of Beryllium Needle Therapy For The Treatment Of Lantar Fasciitis

Objective:To observe the clinical effect and safety of beryllium needle and closure for plantar fasciitis,finding a simple and effective method for the treatment of plantar fasciitis.Methods:The patients with plantar fasciitis visiting orthopedic clinic of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2015 to December 2016 were rolled in this study.Appling simple randomized method to divide into random groups,20 qualified cases with beryllium needle therapy in trial group and 20 qualified objects with closure therapy in control group.beryllium needle therapy was applied in trial group,one treatment for every week,one times a course,and one course for each patient.closure therapy was used in the control group,the treatment and cycle were the same as Beryllium needle therapy.All patients were used transverse movement scale,tenderness tester(the number of national patent for utility models:ZL200520142236.5)researched and produced by M-tone company of Tianjin Ming century science and technology and China Academy of TCM,and Soft tissue tension test and analysis system which has been approved as utility model patents by the national patent office(No.ZL02253003.7),to observe the index of pain,tenderness and soft tissue tension before and after treatment for 2 weeks.Both groups were evaluated the clinical effect by filling in CRF table after a period treatment,then the date were collected and analysed with the statistical software of spss 20.0.Results:There was no statistical significance(p>0.05)in the general date including sex,age,period and each observation index between two groups by statistical analysis with T test and Chi-square test.The results of total curative effect between two groups showed beryllium needle treatment reaches 100%,while Closure therapy was 90%;There was a statistical significance(p<0.05)in the total curative effect through analysis with Wilcoxon Rank Sum Test.Besides,after the treatment of two groups,there was a statistical significance(p<0.05)in the pain score(VAS score)and tenderness index,and an obvious statistical difference(p<0.01)in soft tissue tension index.In this study,there weren' t occurred any adverse reaction and safety accident.All patients followed up for two weeks,but still have not found significant sequel.Conclusions:Both beryllium needle and closure therapy were valid in relieving pain and improving clinical symptoms and sign of patients with plantar fasciitis,without any adverse reaction.But the beryllium needle therapy was superior to closure therapy.
