The Clinical Observation On The Long-Term Results Of Biejiahuajian Decoction In Combination With S-1 In The Treatment Of Advanced Gastric Carcinoma (Deficiency Of Both Qi And Blood) In Elderly Patients

Objective:To evaluate the long-term results of advanced gastriccar-cinoma (deficiency of both qi and blood) in elderly paients treated by Biejiahuajian decoction in combination with S-1.Methods:ninety cases of advanced gastric cancer in elderly patients were randomly divided into two groups,forty-five cases in each group.Both groups were treated by S-l,hand 3 weeks as a course of continuous observation for 6 cycles.Cases in the obserbation group were treated by Biejiahuajian decoction.The short-term results(including tumor size and turner markers?TCM symptom?QLQ-C30 score and safety results were observed before and after all the treatments.Reguler following-up on long-term results of all the patients.Results:(1) The observation group had a significantly higher survival rate of both one and two year than the control group(P<0.01).(2) The clinical benefitrate of observation group wassignificantly higher than it of control gruoup after treatment(P<0.01).CEA of observation group was significantly decreased after treatment,at the same time there was no significant change in the control group(P>0.05).(3) The QLQ-C30 scores of 2 groups after all treatments had increased. Tocompare 2 groups of QLQ-C30 scores in post-treatment, the observation group scoressignificantly higher than it of control gruoup (P<0.01).(4) TCM symptom of 2 groups after all treatments has dropped.There is statistically significant between the treatment group and control group after treatment(P<0.01).(5) The safety results of 2 groups after all treatments had no abnormalities.Conclusion:(1) There was a significant long-term results of Biejiahuajian decoction in combination with S-1 in the treatment of advanced gastric carcinoma in elderly patients.And it also could effectively enhance the clinical benefit rate of advanced gastric carcinoma in elderly patients.(2) Biejiahuajian decoction in combination with S-1 could effectively improve the life quality of advanced gastric carcinoma in elderly patients.(3) Biejiahuajian decoction in combination with S-1 could greatly improve the symptoms in the deficiency of both qi and blood.
