Objective: through the application of self-made “No.3 prescription for thoracic obstruction” in treating stable angina pectoris patients with phlegm-heat and blood stasis, the study aims to observe the clinical curative effect of the drug in improving the patient pain attack frequency, duration, physical and chemical indicators. Methods: 102 patients with stable angina pectoris syndrome of phlegm heat and blood stasis were randomly divided into 2 groups: 50 in the control group(male:26;female:24;age:44-70)were given conventional treatment, and 52 in the experimental group(male:27;female:25;age:45-70) took the “No.3 prescription for thoracic obstruction” on the basis of conventional therapy. After 1 month's treatment, it's aimed to observe the pain attack frequency, duration, decrease rate of nitroglycerin, ECG ST segment depression improvement index, coat of the tongue and pulse condition of the two groups. The curative effect efficiency was determined according to the standard of curative effect evaluation of nimodipine method, and the data were statistically processed. Results: after one month's treatment, it proved that the experimental group was better than control group for reduction of the pain onset frequency with a statistically difference(p < 0.05); the experimental group was better than control group for the reduction of pain Duration with a statistical difference; the experimental group was better than control group for the reduction of nitroglycerin with a statistical difference(p < 0.05); the experimental group was better than control group for the TCM syndrome integral reduction with a statistical difference(p < 0.05); the experimental group was better than control group for the single syndrome score of TCM, besides, four of the single syndrome(including chest pain, chest congestion, dry mouth and lack of strength) scores of TCM have a significant statistical difference(p < 0.01), the syndrome score of flushing has a statistical difference(p < 0.05); the experimental group was better than control group for the decrement rate of abnormal tongue, whose statistical difference was also significant(p < 0.05); in a word, the total efficiency of the experimental group was better than the control group, which has a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion: the “No.3 prescription for thoracic obstruction” used in experimental group can significantly improve the efficiency and promote the total effective rate. And the dug has significant advantage in the treatment of stable angina, so it is worth clinical promoting.
