| Objectives: 60 cases with lumbar disc herniation(LDH)were collected under the guidance of the supervisor.Through comparisons between groups,the study aimed to observe and analyze the clinical outcomes of Tianchi orthopaedic manipulation and basic traction treatment for LDH.At the end of this research project,a summary of the observed clinical curative effects of Tianchi orthopaedic manipulation and basic traction treatment for LDH was made in the postgraduate thesis.To provide some evidences for diversified choices of clinical treatment plans,a scientific analysis was performed to evaluate the clinical effects of Tianchi orthopaedic manipulation.Methods: 60 cases with LDH were included and randomly divided into two groups: treatment group and control group.The clinical effects were evaluated by comparison between groups.Scorings of low back pain,leg pain and tingling,gait,straight leg-raising test,sensory disturbance,level of muscle weakness,effects on the daily activities and other aspects were carried out to compare the clinical effects of these two groups one month after treatment.Results: In the treatment group,14 cases(46.7%)were cured,10 cases(50%)gained obvious effects,gained effects and 1 case(3.3%)gained no effect,with an overall response rate of 96.7%;in the control group,8 cases(26.7%)were cured,14 cases(46.7%)gained obvious effects,and 8 cases(26.7%)gained no effect,with an overall response rate of 73.4%.The statistical analysis indicated that the clinical effects of the treatment group were significantly better than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: That Tianchi orthopaedic manipulation shows an obvious curative effect for LDH certain scientific basis.As an option of treating LDH,it deserves to be selected and further popularized. |
