Purpose: This issue was conducted to observe the efficiency of treatment of paralytic squint(wind phlegm type)cured by acupuncturing the muscles regions,in order to provide patients with another easy way curing paralytic squint, and verify its effectency and safety. Methods: Patients of 72 cases conform to inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups: the treatment group of 36 cases and control group of 36 cases. Both groups adopted intramuscular injection with methylcobalamin 0.5mg,the treatment group was cured by acupuncturing the muscles regions for 30 min,1 times/d;control group: anisodine injection 2ml was injected subcutaneously next to superficial temporal artery,1 times/d;a course concluded 15 days, total three courses.Respectively record the changes before treatment and after treatment of the patients such as oblique eye perspective,as well as the main symptoms of diplopia, dizziness, nausea and other symptoms.Statistical analysis was conducted with SPSS19.0 statistical software, and the differences of clinical efficacy of two groups were compared and analyzed in order to find the better way to treat the acquired paralytic strabismus. Results: Statistical results showed that both of the treatment group and the control group could improve the symptoms and signs of paralytic strabismus in clinic, treatment group cured 3 cases,16 cases were markedly effective,11 cases were effective,2cases were noneffective, the total efficiency was 93.37%,markedly effective rate was 59.37 %;control group cured 2 cases,11 cases were markedly effective,15 cases were effective,5cases were noneffective, the total efficiency was 84.84%,markedly effective rate of 39.39%,P <0.05,the difference of two groups was statistically significant, indicating that the improvement of clinical symptoms and signs of the disease of treatment group was more obvious than those of the control group. Conclusion: Therapy of the acupuncturing the muscle regions treating the paralytic squint(wind phlegm type)is effective, this method is simple and inexpensive, not only has academic value, but also worthy of being promoted.
