Objective:Through detecting the expression of YAP and c IAP1 in ovarian serous adenocarcinoma,We analyzed the relationship between the clinicopathological features and these two proteins. In order to investigate the clinical significance of YAP and c IAP1 in ovarian serous adenocarcinoma patients. Methods: We Collected the clinical pathologic datas and paraffin specimens(platinum resistance were 26 cases, platinum sensitive were 36 cases)of 62 cases with ovarian serous adenocarcinoma who received surgical treatment during July 2008 to January2016 in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University.Meanwhile, normal ovarian tissue paraffin specimens of 20 cases with ovarian cyst resection during the same period were collected. The expression of YAP and c IAP1 in tissue were detected by Using immunohistochemical ways, statistical methods were implemented to analyze their correlations, correlations between these two proteins and the clinicopathological characteristics of patients with ovarian serous adenocarcinoma, like patients' age,FIGO stage, histological type, histological grade, presence of ascites, platinum resistance or not ect..Moreover,the influencing factors of progression-free survival and Overall Survival to patients with ovarian serous adenocarcinoma were analyzed.Results:1.Positive rate of YAP in patients with ovarian serous adenocarcinoma(87.1%)was significantly higher than that in normal ovarian tissue(60%),while its high expression rate(61.3%)was also significantly higher than that in normal ovarian tissue(20%),differences in these two groups were both statistically significant(P < 0.05).In the tissueof patients with ovarian serous adenocarcinoma, the expression of YAP was significantly correlated with tumor differentiation degree(?2=8.429,P=0.038),relapse rate(?2=8.717,P=0.033)and the possibility of platinum resistance(?2=16.001,P=0.001).There were no significant correlations with patients' age,FIGO stage, preoperative preoperative CA125 level, symptom of ascites, vascular tumor emboli, lymph node metastasis, relapse and chemotherapy regimens(P > 0.05).2.Positive rate of c IAP1 in the tissue of patients(91.9%)with ovarian serous adenocarcinoma was significantly higher than that in normal ovarian tissue(75%),while its high expression rate(54.4%)was also significantly higher than that in normal ovarian tissue(25%),differences in these two groups were both statistically significant(P < 0.05).The expression of c IAP1 was significantly correlated with tumor differentiation degree(?2=8.949,P=0.030),and the possiblity of platinum resistance(?2=8.717,P=0.033).There were no significant correlations with patients' age,FIGO stage, preoperative preoperative CA125 level, symptom of ascites, vascular tumor emboli, lymph node metastasis, relapse and chemotherapy regimens(P > 0.05).3.In ovarian serous adenocarcinoma,YAP and c IAP1 expression were positively correlated, correlation coefficient r=0.372,P=0.003.4.For PFS,as the univariate analysis indicated that the expression of YAP,FIGO stage, lymph node metastasis, symptom of ascites and the possibility of platinum resistance were the factors influencing postoperative PFS(P < 0.05).And there are no significant correlations to postoperative PFS with patients' age,FIGO stage, preoperative CA125 level, symptom of ascites, vascular tumor emboli, lymph node metastasis, relapse and chemotherapy regimens.(P > 0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that the initial treatment with platinum-resistance and the expression of YAP were both independent prognostic factors in postoperative PFS(P <0.05)to patients with ovarian serous adenocarcinoma.YAP and c IAP1 co-expression was an influencing factor in postoperative PFS to patients with ovarian serous adenocarcinoma(P <0.05).5.For OS,the univariate analysis showed that the expression of YAP,the expression of c IAP1,patients' age,FIGO stage, relapse and the possibilty of platinumresistance were the factors influencing postoperative OS.(P < 0.05).And there were no significant correlations to patients' OS with tumor differentiation degree, symptom of ascites, preoperative CA125 level, vascular tumor emboli, lymph node metastasis and chemotherapy regimens(P> 0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that the expression of YAP,the expression of c IAP1 and the initial treatment with platinum-resistance were both independent prognostic factors to postoperative OS(P <0.05)in patients with ovarian serous adenocarcinoma.YAP and c IAP1 co-expression was a influencing factor to postoperative OS(P <0.05).Conclusion:1.YAP was high-expressed in ovarian serous adenocarcinoma tissues, there were significant correlations with tumor differentiation degree, relapse and the possibilty of platinum resistance. The expression of YAP was an independent prognostic factors to PFS and OS in patients with ovarian serous adenocarcinoma.2.c IAP1 was high-expressed in ovarian serous adenocarcinoma tissues, the expression of c IAP1 was significantly correlated with the tumor differentiation degree and the possibility with platinum resistance. The expression of c IAP1 was an independent prognostic factors to OS in patients with ovarian serous adenocarcinoma.3.The YAP and c IAP1 expression in ovarian serous adenocarcinoma were positively correlated and both co-expression was a adverse factor in the prognosis of ovarian serous adenocarcinoma...
