Objective: By detecting the expression of human epidermal growth factor receptor-2(HER-2)and vascular endothelial growth factor C(VEGF-C)in colorectal carcinoma patients, the paper probes into the relationships between HER-2 and VEGF-C,explores the correlations of them with clinicopathologic factors and effects of them to prognosis.Method:94 patients undergoing resection of colorectal cancer in Center of Gastrointestinal Surgery of Yi Jishan Hospital affiliated to Wannan Medicial College from July 2011 to October 2013,were selected.Of which,62 were colon cancer,32 were rectal cancer.Specimens, stored in pathology department and from the 94 cases of colorectal carcinomas, were studied. In addition,we also checked the 20 Specimens in healthy tissues. Then, the SPA immunohistochemistry were used to tested the expression of Her-2 and VEGF-C in colorectal cancer.Last, combining with age, gender, size and location of tumors, infiltration depth, degree of differentiation, lymph node metastasis,Dukes staging and prognosis,we analyzed the effects of Her-2 and VEGF-C on colorectal cancer by statistical method.Results:1.The positivity rates of Her-2 and VEGF-C in colorectal carcinoma were 22.3%(21/94)and 72.3%(68/94)respectively.Her-2 and VEGF-C in colorectal cancer are highly expressed in adjacent tissues;2.The expression levels of Her-2 have no correlation with the patient's age, sex, tumor location, size differentiation, dgree of differentiation and depth of tumor invasion(P> 0.05),but have correlation with ymph node metastasis and Dukes stage(P <0.05);3.The expression levels of VEGF-C have nocorrelation with sex, tumor location, size differentiation, but have correlation with age, dgree of differentiation,Dukes stage, depth of tumor invasion and ymph node metastasis(P <0.05);4,The survival time were decreased in VEGF-C expression positive in colorectal carcinoma patient(P<0.05),There was no difference between the survival time in VEGF-C expression positive and VEGF-C expression negative;5.Her-2 and VEGF-C were positively correlated in the expression of colorectal cancer tissue(r=0.217,p=0.0.035).Conclusion: 1.The over expression of Her-2 and VEGF-C correlated with ymph node metastasis and Dukes stage,Her-2 and VEGF-C in colorectal cancer are highly expressed in adjacent tissues. It suggests that Her-2 and VEGF-C play an important role in development and metastasis of colorectal carcinoma;2.Her-2 and VEGF-C are coexpressed in colorectal carcinoma, and the expression of them has a positive correlation,It suggests Her-2 and VEGF-C have a synergetic effect on promoting angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis of tumor;3.The survival time were decreased in VEGF-C expression positive in colorectal carcinoma patient,VEGF-C has correlation with metastasis and prognosis;4.joint detection the expression of Her-2 and VEGF-C plays an important role and significance for invasion, metastasis, prognosis and molecular targeted therapy of colorectal cancer.
