ObjectiveNeonatal jaundice of the newborn is a more common neonatal clinical symptom. The central nervous system(CNS) in newborn infant will be damaged if treatment is not timely. Yinchenhao decoction soup is a kind of clinical longer?higher safety traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions using in our country. This study through 882 newborns from September 2013 to July 2014 in Chinese medicine hospital of Guoyang. Relevant factors of pregnant women in pregnancy statistics analysis of neonatal jaundice maternal pregnancy risk factors. Subsequently, pregnancy woman in September 2014 to May 2015 in Guoyang Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine Obstetrics and gynecology clinic who had risk factors would be gived Yinchenhao decoction soup,Observe birth rates of newborn with neonatal jaundice.MethodsIn the first stage, A total of 199 newborns with aundice, mother was listed as the research group, and 683 cases of healthy newborns, mother were listed as the control group. The factor of maternal pregnancy between the two groups were retrospectively analyzed to explore the possible causes of neonatal jaundice. In the second stage,177 cases pregnant women who have risk factors of high risk would take in Yinchenhao decoction soup during pregnancy one month in accordance with the principle of voluntary medication, 293 cases high risk pregnancy women who refused to take in Yinchenhao decoction soup as the control group, the incidence of neonatal jaundice were compared between the two groups of pregnant women.ResultsThe first phase of the study found that, compared with control group, research group had higher number in hemolytic reaction?infection during pregnancy ?obstructive jaundice during pregnancy. The difference of them between the two groups show to have statistically significance(85/683 vs 103/199,X2=142.008,P<0.001;225/683 vs85/199,X2=6.454,P=0.011; 134/683 vs 67/199,X2=17.286,P<0.001). In a stepwise logistic regression model, three risk factors at admission were significantly correlated with the development of neonatal jaundice: hemolytic reaction ? infection during pregnancy?obstructive jaundice during pregnancy. Meanwhile(OR=8.014,P<0.001;OR=1.804, P=0.003; OR=1.507, P=0.025), physical labor were protective factors(OR=0.578,P=0.026).In the second stage study, the differences of indexes of liver function between control group and research group were not statistical significance(All P > 0.05). But the incidence rate of total number of newborn with physiology and pathology neonatal jaundice in research group were lower than those in the control group, the difference between them was significance(95/198 vs 38/139,X2=6.526, P=0.011;66/227 vs24/153, X2=5.730, P=0.017). Abortion / stillbirth number in research group was lower than that in the control group, the difference between them was statistically significance(29/254 vs 8/169, X2=4.400, P=0.036).ConclusionHemolytic reaction ? infection during pregnancy ? obstructive jaundice during pregnancy are three important risk factors in maternal pregnancy for neonatal jaundice, with high risk factors of maternal pregnancy be traditional Chinese medicine agent Yinchenhao decoction soup can effectively reduce the incidence of neonatal jaundice of newborn. Traditional Chinese medicine in prevention of pregnancy with contraceptives has more important clinical significance.
