Objective: To explore the correlation between the Severity of AECOPD and IL-6(interleukin-6),D-dimer and procalciton. Methods: Samples were collected from 27 patients with AECOPD in respiratory intensive care unit(RICU),Who need invasive mechanical ventilation along with severely respiratory failure,Nineteen of them were men,Eight of them were women.Mean patient age was(72.96 ±8.89)years,other Samples were collected from 44 patients with AECOPD in ordinary ward, all of them weren't so severe and didn't require invasive mechanical ventilation.Thirty-one were men and Thirteen were women.mean patient age was(68.20±11.09)years.Besides,12 healthy people volunteered to the research(8 males),mean patient age was(66.09± 9.14)years.above of them signed the informed consent and Peripheral blood was sampled on admission.D-dimer measured by immunoturbidimetry,IL-6 levels were detected by electrochemiluminescence immunoassay, while, procalcitonin were detected by lectrochemiluminescence immunoassay.Application of SPSS13.0 statistical software for statistical analysis, all measurement datas underwent F and normality test, all measurement datas follows the normaldistributio and homoscedasticity test. The comparing of ordinary AECOPD groups, severe AECOPD groups and healthy control groups were analyzed by variance analysis.then using SNK multiple comparison analysis method. They had obvious statistical significance with a P value <0.05.Among patients with severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,The comparing of death groups and non-death groups applied independent t-test.They also had obviousstatistical significance with a P value < 0.05.Results: IL-6 levels were increased in patients with severe AECOPD(11.60±3.01)than patients with ordinary AECOPD(7.82±2.15)or health peoples(4.63±1.78)(F=39.16,P<0.01),There were higher procalcitonin levels in severe AECOPD groups(0.46 ± 0.08)than ordinary AECOPD groups(0.12±0.06)or healthy control groups(0.07±0.04),(F=279.88,P < 0.01).In addition, among patients with severe AECOPD(2.94±0.72),D-dimer levels were higher than in patients with ordinary AECOPD(1.45±0.84)or health(0.86±0.53),(F=43.51,P<0.01).Among patients with severe AECOPD,there were significant differences(t=3.74,P<0.01)of IL-6 between death groups(14.11±2.67)and non-death groups(10.35±2.36).Mean procalcitonin levels of the death groups were(0.44 ± 0.07),which were(0.52 ± 0.08)in non-death groups, there were significant differences between two groups(t=2.61,P<0.05).last but not list,D-dimer levels were also increased in death groups(3.41 ± 0.42)compared with non-death groups(2.71 ±0.74),there were significant differences between two groups(t=2.96,P<0.01).Conclusion: Serum levels of IL-6,procalcitonin and D-dimer are correlated with the severity and prognosis of patients with AECOPD.
