Design And Development Of Doctor Workstation Of Ankang Hospital

Hospital Information System(HIS) applies many electronics technology including telecommunication engineering, software engineering and informatics to the management of modern hospital. As one of important subsystem, the doctor workstation which always regards patients as objects, can collect, store, process and share the data of patients by various modern technologies. It has become a software system which is able to make data interaction with other subsystems and is capable of meeting the demand of different authorized users. Based on the practical experience, the article summarizes planning, design and development of the doctor station and illustrates the whole procedures.The system adopts Client/Server architecture. Delphi 7 is involved as the main software development platform and Oracle 10 g is chosen as database. In the process of designing, various functional modules and their logical relationship should be declared firstly. UML tools such as flow diagrams and class diagrams are used for further design of each functional module. For designing the database structure, the entity relationship should be clarified before described by E-R diagrams. After that the structure of data sheets and their relationship are designed. In the phase of implementation, every functional module is available by programming. The system test, debug and deployment are also carried out in this part.Now, the doctor workstation has gone into services. Although the further development and improvement is needed, the system has matched the requirements of clinical departments. The system has a great significance for improving the quality of diagnosis and treatment, speeding up the work efficiency, standardizing the management and cutting down on the expenditures.
