| Objective: To study the effectiveness of anti-swelling Chinese medicine mask for the clinical treatment of acne, and to have a comprehensive evaluation of its clinical advantages when combined with western medicine to treat acne, to provide a theoretical basis for the future application and development of the traditional Chinese medicine mask.Methods: The present study selected cases from May 2013- December 2014 in the Heilongjiang Provincial Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine Dermatology Clinic, with the diagnosis of patients with acne vulgaris. A total of 126 cases,including 57 male, 69 female, aged 18 to 45 years old. Divided into control and the experimental group. Control group: Bio-Jade collagen mask is given,for six weeks. Experimental group: Anti-swelling Chinese medicine mask is given,for six weeks.Results: The experimental group using anti-swelling Chinese medicine mask for the treatment of acne vulgaris has better clinical efficacy. The total effective rate comparing between the experimental group and the control group are statistically significant, there are significant differences in efficacy; The total lesions scores comparing the experimental group and the control group is also statistically significant(P <0.05) before and after treatment; the experimental group and the control group lesions scores difference before and after treatment are statistically significant(P <0.05). The treatment results for the experimental group using anti-swelling Chinese medicine mask is better than the control group, using Bio-Jade collagen mask. Moreover, it is also found that anti-swelling Chinese medicine mask can reduce oil secretion, shrink pores,lightening of pigmentation.Conclusion:1. Anti-swelling Chinese medicine mask, can effectively improve the lesions score and clinical symptoms in acne patients.2. Anti-swelling Chinese medicine mask, had reached 82.76 percent efficiency in the experimental group vs 75.0% in the control group, it is statistically significant(P <0.05) in comparing the efficiency;3. No side effects in using the anti-swelling Chinese Medicine mask was found,it proved that it is a safe and effective drug treating Acne Vulgaris. |
