We fed mice for 90 days with rice straw of the transgenic Bt gene, which was the mixt ure of the straw and common feed ingredients of mouse at the mass ratio of 1:1. The study confirmed the effects of Bt protein on mice, by analyzing metabolism, development and reproduction of mice and so on, and then discussed the security problems of Bt transgenic rice straw applied to feed production.1.There is no occurring of poisoning or death of mice. All of them had normal behavior in diets,drinking water and daily acts, during the 90 days of feeding;2. Between experience group(EG) of mice fed for 90 days and control group (CG), there's no significant differences on related indexes, such as blood phase, blood biochemistry and blood rheology and so on;3. The research indicated that significant difference of enzyme activity, like CAT, SOD, POD, GSH-Px and AchE, were not existed between EG and CG which detected by ELISA technique, in mice fed for 90 days;4. We didn't found significant differences between EG and CGon indexes of cell apoptosis and calcium loss by testing lymphocytes of mice fed for 90 days in ways of FCM;5.Primary organs dissected from mice of 90 days, were used to observe the viscera lesions and detect viscera index, meanwhile, enzyme activity of CAT, SOD, POD, GSH-Px and AchE were measured by ELISA. There was no occurrence of disease and poisoning of viscera, and the result also revealed that there's no significant differencesbetween EG and CG on the organ index as well as enzyme activity of CAT, SOD, POD, GSH-Px, AchE;6. The results showed that there were no significant differencesbetween EG and CG on sperm density, vitality, survival rate, deformity rate and acrosome integrity rate, and the sperm obtained from semen of male mouse fed for 90 days;7. We calculated the number of primordial follicle, primary follicle, secondary follicle and three levels of follicle through observing tissue lesions in the form of paraffin sections which made by ovarys of female mouse fed for 90 day.The results showed that there were no obvious patholopical changes in ovarian tissue and the number of follicles at all levels is rich and no significant differencebetween EG and CG;Studies have shown that Bt protein in transgenic rice with Bt gene was not toxic to mi ce. It did not cause each viscera lesions in mice, and had not stimulated detoxification mech anism of key metabolic enzymes in mice which was able to induced changes of several maj or enzyme activities. In addition, it had no harmful effects on female and male reproductive health.
