Such some Chinese style mechanisms as the bidding mechanism has covered the school construction nowadays and as a result schools tend more to invite companies to take charge of the campus construction(including planning and design,the implement of the program and the maintenance management etc.),which is highly connected with business and thus ignores the teaching and scientific researching performance of campus landscaping(let alone continue the green construction).Although it has covered the cultural characteristic of landscaping,it is mostly seen in hard landscaping.The new campus of Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Engineering in Baiyun district completed its first stage green construction under this very social background.This time,in order to improve the plant landscaping area and meanwhile,most importantly,to develop its performances in teaching,researching and popularization of science,they promoted and reformed its plant landscape.Based on the basic theories to plan and design plant landscape and the induction of common methods,the author analyzes and concludes the first stage plant landscaping construction through exploring and surveying it,and using the Analytic Hierarchy Process.Thus,he puts forward the design project of the plant landscape promotion in this article.Here are the conclusions:(1)There were originally 96 species of xylophyta,which belongs to 70 Familes and 84 Genus.Among them,Moraceae,Palmae families,Apocynaceae,myrtle,Laguminosae and magnoliaceae are dominant famlies while Rutaceae and Ericaceae are disadvantage families.The whole landscape is mostly covered with evergreen.However,it is not abundant in flowering plant species and it is short of foliage plants as well as fruit-effect plants.Additionally,as the campus was built along hills,some problems comes along with its location,slope flow,wind,soil.These problems are shown as its low herbaceous soil covering and serious mixed lawn.Zoysia matrella also covered by ruderals like Panicum repens,alligator alternanthera,cogon,Hedyotis corymbosa,Kyllinga brevifolia,Fimbristylis dichotoma,Cynodon dactylon,Which is difficult to attend and manage.(2)Through Analytic Hierarchy Process to establish a evaluation index system and combing quantitative index with qualitative index,we have made a survey to rate different area of the campus: the teaching and researching district,the riverside green area,the residential area,the motor area and entrance region.According to the result,we get that the residential area gains a general score of 7.49,for it has the most plant species and make the best balance among different species in its hard landscape,while the entrance is comparatively worse,with a score of 6.13.(3)Through planning,promoting and reconstructing the first stage of the green plant landscape in Baiyun campus,We has put forward ideas for design that specified plant garden can be adopted as the design orientation when planning the green plant landscape in campus and build a space distribution covered by green plant belt,plant garden and plant node so that it can highlight the feature of a Agricultural and Forestry University campus.Meanwhile,we have built many landscape nodes such as riverside landscape belt,green belt in the eastern area of the campus,Magnolia garden,valuable Arboretum,Cercis garden,Palmae garden,phoenix tree garden,and gymnosperm garden.(4)During this promotion project,we have planted 108 new species of plant which cover 49 families and 54 genus.They are separately planted in specified plant gardens: 6 genus and 30 species in Magnolia garden;14 families,17 genus and 20 species in valuable Arboretum;7 species in Cercis garden;5 families,5 genus and 5 species in gymnosperm garden;8 genus and 10 species in Palmae garden;15 families,24 genus and 36 species in greenbelts of riverside;4 genus and 4 species in phoenix tree garden;9 families,9 genus and 1 specie in landscape node(which is set for promoting its utility value).All these species finally enrich the diversity of plant species and ornamental valve.
