Arbitrary waveform generator is a widely used test instrument for modern test systems.As the test requirements put forward by the system under test become more demanding and the system under test is more complex,the traditional triggering method with a single function can no longer meet the requirements of modern testing.In order to better adapt to the modern test environment and make up for the insufficiency of traditional triggering functions,multi-function triggering technology has emerged and has been widely used in modern test instruments.This dissertation focuses on the multi-function triggering technology of arbitrary waveform generators.The main research contents are as follows:1.Analyze and discuss the problems faced by the arbitrary waveform generator trigger technology,and introduce the concept of multi-function trigger technology.Discuss and analyze the technical requirements and differences of the multi-function trigger module proposed by the arbitrary waveform generator under different DDS waveform synthesis frameworks.And aiming at the limitation of current trigger technology,the research direction of multi-function trigger technology is proposed.2.From the four aspects of the accuracy,timeliness,diversity,and synchronization of the multi-function trigger technology,the hotspots are analyzed in detail.For each research point,first analyze the relevant influencing factors,and then propose corresponding improvements or solutions.Combined with the relevant triggering function of each research point,the technical implementation method is studied.At the same time,some research hotspots have been done in this paper.3.In combination with an arbitrary waveform generator project,select the DDWS architecture and use the appropriate multi-functional trigger technology implementation method described above to perform external trigger channel circuit design and FPGA internal trigger function logic design.Mainly include the trigger conditioning channel circuit,level trigger control circuit,bus interface logic,address decoding logic,level control logic,count trigger logic,software trigger logic,edge trigger logic and so on.Finally,three kinds of triggering modes,five kinds of selectable trigger sources,and multiple trigger settings for various parameters can be realized.4.Build a test platform to verify the smart trigger module.After actual testing,the multi-function trigger module fulfills the requirement of the trigger function index,and at the same time,it verifies the correctness and correctness of the method for realizing the multi-function trigger technology.
