| Rapid aging population makes the form of old age care increasingly serious.Meanwhile,the number of the elderly suffering from dementia is increasing.According to the "2015 World Alzheimer’s Disease Report",Dementia is one of the greatest challenges in global public health and social care which humans are confronted with today and in the future.China has the largest number of patients suffering from dementia in the world.Due to the special nature of the illness,The demand of pension resources for the elders with dementia is 5 to 6 times more than the demand for the normal elderly.Facing with this severe problem.we adopt home based old age care model,letting the early dementia elderly continue to live at home.This can not only conserve resources,but also produce positive meaning to physical and mental health 。This article is based on the prevalence and influencing factors of the dementia elderly and their behavioral psychological characteristics to gain the knowledge of the relationship between dementia elderly and the environment,including the specificity of their demands for the environment and the positive effects that the environment can produce on the development of the condition.At the same time,we did a lot of research work for the dementia elderly in Chengdu,to have a knowledge of their living conditions,including basic conditions,nursing assistance and residential conditions,residential environment includes outdoor environment and indoor environment.We mainly introduce the indoor environment to get a thorough understanding of the layout,current status and environmental quality of each room where the dementia elderly live 。According to the above three points,the dementia elderly’s behavioral psychological characteristics,environmental theory and living status,we put forward the elements and strategies of living environment’s design for dementia elderly from the perspective of space and behavior respectively。... |
