High speed and heavy load are still the main developing direction of railway around the world.With the rapid development of economy in our country and the high speed railway,the requirement of improving“speed freight transport”turns to be especially urgent.In order to solve the problem that railway transport is increasing sharply,the contradiction between transportation volume and transportation capacity is becoming more and more serious,it is necessary to increase the axle load of locomotives,give full plays to the advantages of large capacity,high efficiency and low transporting cost of high-power heavy-haul locomotives,which achieve the effect of"huge haul and quick running"in railway freight transportation,to realize the speed of freight transportation.With the rapid development of heavy-haul transportation,higher requirements are put forward for the safety,utilization ratio and performance stability of high-power and heavy-haul locomotives.Compared with the current situation of Kunming Railway Bureau,it is found that the failure rate of HX_N5 locomotive braking system in operation is about 20%of all faults by targeting on the malfunction of high power HX_N5 locomotive during operation,analyzing the proportion of brake system in all faults.In addition to affecting the utilizing ratio of locomotives and railway lines,reducing the speed and prolonging the turnaround time of freight transportation,it is more important that the failure of the braking system brings greater safety risks to the transportation production.Therefore,there is great practical significance to improve the application stability,improve utilizing ratio,reduce transport-fault ratio,eliminate the hidden danger of running safety by studying the application of HX_N5 locomotive's braking system,getting familiar with the structure and working characteristics of CCB?brake,improving the structure of braking system,perfecting the function of braking system,mastering its logic control relation,mastering the emergency-dealing measures,skillfully using and correctly operating CCB?brake,which also lay a good foundation and condition for the healthy development of heavy-haul railway transportation in China,the improvement of railway transportation capacity and the acceleration of freight transport speed.At present,CCBII brake is the main brake of the new heavy-haul locomotive brake system in China.This paper takes CCBII brake as the researching object,through the research on the application of the whole braking system of HX_N5 locomotive in Kunming Railway Bureau,it goes a profound analysis on its air source system,structure and working principle of the foundation brake device;meanwhile,this paper provides a stimulating research on large-axle load locomotive,selects and chooses of the material of the compositing material of the brake disc.The research on the parameters of CCB?braking system of HX_N5 locomotive,the influence on the performance of braking system is analyzed,and put forward improving suggestions for the malfunction and performance deficiency of HX_N5 locomotive braking system in operation.Besides the detailed improving suggestions on improving the braking system of HX_N5 locomotive,it also plays a guiding role to optimize the braking system of all-road new heavy-haul locomotive,which lays a foundation for further perfection and improvement of the braking system of the heavy-haul locomotive.
