| Arbitrary waveform generator is one of the most widely used signal sources in the electronic fields today.Arbitrary Waveform Generator,which has a controllable timing offset of the output signal,can provide multiple waveform outputs with precise phase relationships,and satisfy more and more complex test environment.Therefore,the timing control technology of signal output is also the main target of arbitrary waveform generator.In this paper,do the study for output timing control techniques of different DDS architectures.The main research contents are as follows:1.Compared the two waveform synthesis methods of Direct Digital Waveform Synthesis(DDWS)and Direct Digital Frequency Synthesis(DDFS).Analyzed the timing control method for arbitrary waveform generators based on different waveform synthesis methods.Put forward and studied several kinds of timing control methods,then analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of each method for timing control range and accuracy.2.Analyzed the multi-channel synchronous,and established dual-channel DDS signal model.Its precise synchronization timing requirements was calculated and analyzed.Got the synchronous clock timing requirements.Then,analyzed the main factors affecting the synchronization output between channels.Analyzed the methods of clock synchronization and the design of synchronous trigger signal.3.For two different architectures arbitrary waveform generator,designed the circuit and the FPGA logic by choosing one of the methods according to the analysis of various timing control methods.The main design of DDWS architecture includes clock generation circuit,clock timing skew adjustment and data clock synchronization circuit and synchronous trigger circuit.The main design of DDFS architecture includes phase control module and clock generation circuit.Proposed an embedded phase compensation method which could improve the output timing control accuracy.Verified the research methods through the 4GSPS arbitrary waveform generator and the PXI 2-channel arbitrary waveform generator at last.Realized the output delay control range-3ns~3ns of the 4GSPS arbitrary waveform generator,and the output delay resolution is 10 ps.Realized the output phase adjustment range 0~360°of the PXIdual channel arbitrary waveform generator.The target reaches the international advanced level.The test results verify the methods of the designs at the same time. |
