Research On Traditional Village And Dwellings Of Caomiao Village Of City Anyang,Henan Province

Nowadays,the traditional villages in the remote area of China are often better preserved;however,most of the traditional villages in the city or region which has flourishing economy are destroyed with serious;therefore,the existing traditional villages are particularly valuable.There is a conflict between the protection of traditional village and the development of tourism.How to find an optimum way to develop the traditional village with sustainability is a challenge.The aims of this essay focus on research the characteristic,construction skills of architecture in Caomiao village,and analysis the problems which are the result of the development of tourism;moreover,provide advice for traditional dwelling transformation and as a case study for traditional village and dwelling research in the future.The investigation of the Caomiao village contains interview with villager,government officer,local craftsman of traditional dwelling;collecting date(mapping the layout of village and temple and the form of traditional building,record the character of combination of house as well as construction skill);analysis(the formation,status of traditional village and dwelling,the current state of employment of craftsman and the current situation of inheritance of traditional technique).According to the analysis the above data and current advantage and disadvantage of the tourism industry in the Caomiao village and exploring the problems which were ignored in the process of development.A series of problems are occurred with obvious;such as,newly developed residence affects the original pattern of traditional village,lack space of development,weak infrastructure,labour shortage,the negative effect that results from tourism development.There are many suggestion and advice will be used for resolving these problems.The Caomiao traditional village is a sample,most of the traditional village will confront the conflict or problem which occur in the process of protection and development.If these problems fixed in an optimum way,the Chinese traditional villages and dwellings will face a better future.This essay is one of the stage achievements of the national research project‘Research on the current situation and Development of National traditional Arts and Crafts in the process of urbanization’.This sub-topic carries out a large number of field survey on specific villages and to provide basic data for the protection and development of traditional village.
