Under the circumstances that the speed of urbanization grows faster and faster with the less and less available area,the central district shows obvious characteristics of high-density of buildings,population and traffic jam,which worsens the imbalance between the growing need for a better life and the inadequate developing level of the city region.As an important way to construct green corridor and improve the quality of slow life,the greenway construction and non-motorized transportation is formed on the basis of people’s desire of improving green space environment and establishing humanistic ecology.However,due to the restriction of narrow space in the central area and inconformity of city’s construction,mostly city greenway construction was proposed after the construction has been basically matured,which means that in this case the design and construction cannot do the across-the-board adjustment.According to the traditional concept of green transportation planning,there is no room left for the enhancement of the traffic problems occurred in the central area.We bring a conclusion of the combination between non-motorized transportation and greenway construction,that is to say both of them should keep in step.While catching the most significant point of integrative development of the greenway construction and non-motorized transportation,the typical cases all over the world is researched to find the valuable experience from their development.Referring to the matter during the theory and practice of them,this paper conclude a kind of the theoretical basis with its application that is appropriate for the current situation of domestic city central area,which would give the exploring evidence for Weifang.Firstly,this paper analyzes and evaluates the status of integration development from the current situation of the greenway construction,non-motorized transportation and transfer network analysis to find out the problems and features in the construction of greenway and non-motorized transportation systems,and explore the appropriate ways and strategies for their integration and development.The core part of the dissertation takes Weifang central greenway as an example to analyze the necessity and feasibility of the integration of the greenway construction and the non-motorized transportation,and construct the fusion model in theory.Subsequently,the theory was applied to empirical research to study the planning and design of the selected section of the greenway in the center of the city.The greenway and non-motorized transportation were established from the aspects of current status analysis,overall conception,trails planning,traffic transfer mode,and greenway station planning.The integration mechanism systems focusing on the “perfect fusion” between walkways,bicycle lanes,and regular bus lanes to achieve “zero-transfer” between various travel modes such as walking,public bicycles,and bus,build a non-motorized transportation network that fits the urban greenway network.Finally,by establishing a long-term management mechanism for the integration of urban greenway and non-motorized transportation system,the integration of greenway construction and urban systems will be realized,providing inspiration for the construction of greenway in similar cities in the future. |
