Based on the theory of children behavior and psychological tendency analysis,combined with actual cases at home and abroad,this paper especially focuses on the presence in the form and diversity of nursery space,and also proposes several methods to design active space in kindergartens.With considerations of the physically and mentally needs of children's development,this paper discusses how the kindergarten active space should be adapted to children's psychological and behavioral patterns,and how diverse active space can help guiding the process of children's growth under the protection of the safety.By researching and summarizing the course of development of domestic and foreign kindergartens,and referring to the relevant norms of reference and the present stage of early childhood education,and considering new ideas and requirements in the present stage of preschool education in China,kindergarten active space is carefully classified.And through field research in conjunction with specific cases,this paper analyze the advantages or problems in the existing active space in kindergartens,and then points out some principles in designing kindergarten active space.Follow this ideas,to better meet the psychological needs of children,this paper categories the overt and covert activity space in kindergartens,and points out the diversities of the corresponding design methods from the perspective of space,materials,facilities.With the update progress of China's growing demand for preschool education,and new ideas and methods in early childhood education,nurseries and kindergartens are getting more and more attention,at the same time,they are assuming a more important role.Kindergarten active space should meet the dual task in both caring and teaching,not only to protect children's safety,but also to provide needs of a variety of activities to meet children's demand in both physical and mental development.
