| “Zao Yao Gao Xiang” brick gatehouse as one of most famous gatehouses in the area sounth of the Yangtze River,is no longer merely a purely decorative element of “Xiang Shan Bang”,but has become traditional culture and the artistic value of the track and the entire Suzhou region.Over the years,due to the study lack of literature collection and holistic research,few research methods have contributed significantly to write this theme.A novel report for research the Suzhou brick carvings art has been developed.This thesis on the basis of formation of gate,which composed of three parts.Part One begins with analyzing the “Zao Yao Gao Xiang” gate of cultural background,original intention,construction skill and construction system to explore its construction significance;Part Two through the gate building associated culture,character background and other historical materials to highlight its different artistic fature from different angles;the conclusive part,according to the thesis we try to restore real building process of the “Zao Yao Gao Xiang” gate in history. |
