The construction of the pumped storage power plant is characterized by narrow worksite and mutual control in construction processes,such as excavation and filling.Therefore,reasonable planning for excavation and filling plays an important role in guaranteeing the construction quality and improving the project benefit.Due to the difficulty in matching the excavation progress with the dam filling demand in the construction process,this paper has analyzed the relationship between excavation and filling on the basis of studying the excavation characteristics of the upper reservoir on the pumped storage power plant.Then,this paper has proposed a simulation system for excavation considering the dam filling demand of the upper reservoir,which can coordinate the transportation of excavated materials.The research contents and achievements are as follows:(1)This paper has analyzed the excavation characteristics of the upper reservoir on the pumped storage power plant,and considered the influence of the dam filling demand of the upper reservoir on the excavation process,and studied the coordination of the excavation progress and the dam filling.According to the change of excavated materials demand in different periods,three kinds of demand modes,i.e.,compulsory demand,expected demand and destination demand,have been proposed.In this way,the excavation schedule could be coordinated with the dam filling.(2)Due to the influence of topography and geology,the excavation model has the characteristics of irregular shape and parameter information is difficult to obtain.This paper has established the three-dimensional model of excavation objects and conducted the secondary development of AutoCAD,and realized the automatic acquisition of the body parameters of excavated objects.(3)By studying the simulation modeling theory of drilling and blasting excavation construction system,this paper has established the excavation simulation system and realized the computer simulation.From the calculation of the project case,the excavation process can be simulated accurately.The study provides a scientific basis for the rational formulation of the construction organization plan.
