Integrated Design Of Public Buildings And The Environment Based On The Concept Of City Sharing

From the 1990 s,China's urbanization has been accelerating,and the city landscape is changing with each passing day.However,along with rapid development of urbanization in China,a series of urban problems have emerged.For example,quick city expansion has resulted in lack of integrity in urban space design;city planning and management system is limited;and “islets” have become a common phenomenon among urban buildings.As informatization deepens and people's lifestyle keeps changing,the traditional space planning and design can no longer meet current development needs.Generation of all these problems lead to a joint inducement,that is,lack of the concept of integrated design between buildings and the environment.“Integrated design” emphasizes on use of guidelines of the integrated design to strengthen the overall spatial connections among the city,buildings and the environment.Exploration of integrated design with vital practical significance to improvement and solution of problems existing in urban development has become an issue requiring immediate research attention.This paper adheres to the research steps of “posing research questions—conducting a basic research—analyzing research questions—solving research questions—verifying research conclusions by practices”.By referring to relevant theories,and combining development experiences and achievements of public buildings both at home and abroad,this paper proposes four strategies for integrated design of public buildings based on the concept of sharing.Following that,project design is conducted of three types of urban public buildings.This paper consists of six chapters.Chapter 1 mainly introduces research background of integrated design between building space and environment,and analyzes research status of the issue both at home and abroad.Concerning existing problems,research content and direction are proposed,and the research strategy and methodological system are built,thus laying a solid foundation for paper writing.Chapter 2 defines “city space”,“city sharing” and “integration between building and environment”;summaries the historical evolution process of shared urban space;and examines the correlation between city sharing and building-environment integration.Chapter 3 studies the status of integrated design between public buildings and the environment as well as existing problems and factors influencing the public building and environment integrated design so as to provide theoretical basis for problem solving.Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 are the body part of this paper.Based on Chapter 2 and Chapter 3,strategies for integrated design between public buildings and the environment based on the concept of city sharing are proposed.Next,based on the above design strategies,three public building design projects are accomplished.The hand-form blocks are used to verify,enrich and optimize the design plans.Chapter 6 summarizes conclusions of this research.
