Building Integration: Method Study On Integrated Campus Environment

In the external environment condition of the expansion on a large scale of higher education popularizing in our country and the inherent need of university teaching model, university development of our country embraces new character, therefore, it has put forward the new request for the environment of the campus, which includes improving the service efficiency of the land, integrated campus space environment, etc. The building integration theory, as the theory of research on how to organically integrate the building-groups , individuals, shows the adaptability to the new characteristic of environment of the campus in a lot of respects.This thesis throughout and deeply studies the theoretical principle and the method system on building integration in universities, within the research category of group-buildings and its environment form of university campus.The thesis is divided into seven chapters. In chapter one, it sketches the necessity and meaning of studying the design method of the integrated university campus, the research category of the subject,, the research frame and research approach; in chapter two, it studies in details the new characteristics of university development and the university campus that causes from which, the relationship between the new characteristics and the building integration theory, in order to further expound the adaptability of building integration theory; in chapter three, it defines the meaning of building integration, analyses the form characteristics, form elements, form mode, design principle and research contents of building integration; in chapter four, by means of synthesizing, comparation, induction, it proves the form principle and method in five respects of environmental system, space system, traffic system, form composition, behavior and psychology; in chapter five, it mainly puts forward the building integration principle and method of organizing small building groups in university campus; in chapter six, using the composition method, it analyses four typical university instances in our country under the principles of building integration; in chapter seven, it discusses the application of the building integration theory in practice, with the actual project practice.This thesis exhaustively and systemically treats the theory system of university campus building integration, with the theoretical foundation of the typology, morphology and Qi Kang' s urban design theory; which puts forward some principlesand methods on how to achieve building integration, with the researches on typical design cases at the same time.As the universities in our country develops at full speed, it is of great importance creating a high-efficient, highly shared , information sensible campus to study "building integration" -the method of creating integrated campus environment.
