Road Performance Of Warm Mix Asphalt With High Content Of RAP

With the increase demand for the recovery of mix asphalt,the mixed technology of mix asphalt is widely concerned on the basis of the mixed heat regeneration technology.The warm mix of recycled mix asphalt is a new type of "resource saving" and "green environment" mix asphalt,which combines the advantages of asphalt mixing technology and the mixture of hot regeneration technology,energy consumption and exhaust emissions compared to the plant to mix a lot of heat,and has a good road performance,application prospects are broad.As the application of the warm mixing and regeneration technology in the domestic and foreign research is still in the initial stage,the utilization rate of the old mix asphalt(RAP)has been difficult to be improved in the hot mix regeneration.The temperature mixing technology can reduce the mixing temperature.In this paper,the related problems of RAP content were studied.Firstly,the basic properties of the raw materials are tested,by comparing the selection of better temperature mixing performance Evotherm temperature mixture,and the Evotherm temperature mixture on the impact of old and new asphalt test.The performance of old asphalt was determined by the extraction of old asphalt,followed by the selection of 40%,50% and 60% of the three different RAP blending rate for the regeneration of the asphalt and the optimum ratio of the mixture is determined.The results show that the optimum conditions were compared with those of the mixture under different RAP content.Finally,the road performance test is carried out under different RAP content.The high temperature performance and low temperature performance of the regenerated mixture are increased with the increase of RAP content,and the water stability decreased with the increase of RAP content,but both are to meet the specifications of the minimum road performance standards.Through this research,we can meet the asphalt pavement in our country with the standard of up to 60% RAP warm mix content of the recycled mix asphalt preparation,in order to further improve the recycling rate of RAP foundation,provides the basis for the preparation of technical specifications of warm mix recycled,in practical engineering,there are suggestions some of the recycled mix asphalt design of theconstruction and maintenance of the high dosage RAP temperature and regeneration technology can be used in high grade road.
