The Research On The Transformation Model Of Salaqi's Granary Transformed Into Urban Commercial Spatial

The Salaqi grain storage of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is located in the town of Sarah,the seat of the People's Government of Tumoteyouqi,It was built in the 1960 s and has a long history.Since the reform and opening up,especially in recent years,the economy developed very fast,the city and the social patterns has undergone dramatic changes,some of the old industrial will facing the elimination,and the city function will faceing the upgrade.Under this kind of background,it is bound to have something like that the old granary will lose the function as the old industrial building.This kind of architecture is not only a part of the city texture,but also carries the local history and memory of the place.At the same time,the building has a long life cycle,so this type of building has the value of transformation and re-use.The old industrial buildings could transformed to be such as cultural and creative park,office,education and other mode,the Salaqi granary renovation project is led by a real estate developer,according to the local social structure and economic situation,the project orientation is similar like the city complex.This article mainly from the three parts-"city renewal","space and function" and "the details and the place",to analysis the commercial transformation,these three parts is a kind of relationship from macro to micro,guide the design practice with the idea of progressive urban renewal,and study the role and the value of the project to urban renewal.The "space and function" part is to study the way to partition the indoor and the outdoor space of the granary and puts forward the design strategy of the function implantation."Detail and place " is the study of how to create the theme of the place through the details in the process of transformation,and with the help of the details as the media to allow people to experience the information.This article attempts to study the commercial transformation through the study of the "city","spatial and function" and the "architectural detail",trying to put forward a thinking and design strategy of old industrial building,and provide a little advice and reference for the theoretical research and design practice in the future.
