| The memorial space is an important place for inheriting national history and culture.It reflects the collective memory of the society with the functions of recording historical facts and civilized education.It Is also the emotional space of human group memory.Plants as an important element of the memorial space play an important role on the construction of the atmosphere in memorial spaces.On the one hand,Plants can take full advantage of its specific color,shape and cultural characteristics to render the atmosphere of memorial spaces.On the other hand,the layout of the plant landscape and the spatial composition of the plant also have a special effect on the monumental expression.Wuhan,as a typical city of mountains-waters and historical culture,its unique landscape pattern pregnant with many of the lives of the enemy.And it also has a rich historical and cultural resources and spiritual content.So,the memorial space of Wuhan shows a different vitality than other cities.Plant landscape which is an important part of Wuhan commemorative space has a role of self-evident.And because of the special landscape shape,climate conditions and history culture of Wuhan,the feature of the plant landscape will be different from other cities.Therefore,it is helpful to summarize the characteristics and shortcomings of the construction of the plant landscape and provide corresponding strategic support for the study of plant landscape in Wuhan commemorative space.Based on the theory of commemorative behavioral psychology,the aesthetic principle of plant landscape and the spatial composition of plant landscape,The article firstly explains the concept,function and research content of plant landscape in memorial space.And then closely related to the relationship between plant landscape and monumental expression,effects of plant landscape on monumental expression is analyzed comprehensively and rationally from the four aspects of plant landscape elements including plant selection,the layout of plants and the spatial composition of plant landscape and so on.Then,eight representative monographs of Wuhan are selected as the key research objects.We have a detailed analysis and discussion on thephysical elements of the plant landscape,the layout of the plant landscape,the spatial composition of plant landscape,and the fusion of the plant with other elements via research methods including field research,site records,mapping and concluding.Finally,the paper summarizes the characteristics and problems of plant landscape in commemorative space of Wuhan.Through the theoretical analysis and field research above,the design principle of plant landscape in monumental space is put forward:building a good ecological environment to make plant landscape beautiful;It is necessary to highlight the theme of the memorial based on the historical background of the site;And meeting the commemorative as the core of a variety of functions so that everyone’s requirements can be achieved;and the people in the overall environment is focus in the interactive process.The paper also puts forward the strategy of plant landscape designing in monumental space.Firstly,in the selection of plant elements,it is reasonable to propose flower bush and timely flowers to increase the commemorative space color,and we can pay more attention to the seasonal variation of plants to show the commemorative theme at different time and space changes and focus on the cultural connotation of plant.Then,in the plant landscape layout designing strategy,we should choose different forms of planting to give a variety of spatial effects,and make good use of longevity,group plant to create a special commemorative atmosphere.Then in the strategy of plant space construction,it is proposed to use plants to form various garden spaces to meet different functional requirements,and it is also proposed to use full of plants to tissue different functional space to form multi-level plant space sequence.At last,the strategy of the integration of the plant with other landscape elements is summarized from three aspects:the integration with terrain,with commemorative structures,and with the road.Through the analysis of the plant landscape in memorial spaces of Wuhan,the author strives to provide some ideas for commemorative plants landscape designing in Wuhan. |
