Pipeline layout plays an important role in the design of hydraulic system,and the improving of automation degree in pipeline layout has been a hot topic.With the progress of computer technology,pipeline designing had developed from the drawings onto the screen,and gradually from the two-dimensional design to the three-dimensional design.The current three-dimensional design software provides pipeline order with a smaller size,and hydraulic pipeline layout process can not directly match the order,the order must be made some fixed combination when designing.The pipe joints and pipe clamp standard parts database which required in hydraulic pipe design process has not been perfect,it is difficult to meet the actual needs;and the layout of some practical parameters need to manually measure by designer,pipe clamp layout of the recommended rules also need manual implementation.There are many procedural repetitive labor in the design process,which makes the design efficiency difficult to improve greatly,resulting in insufficient competitive advantage.By analyzing the development process and current situation of computeraided design system of hydraulic pipeline layout at home and abroad,and summarizing some shortcomings in the design process,using the combination theory of feature modeling and parametric design,the 3D design software Pro /E was redevelopment to improve the degree of automation in hydraulic piping design.Firstly,the basic theory of feature modeling and parametric design is introduced,and a necessary explanation for the combination of the two is made.Then the hydraulic pipe joint is classified and summarized,and the design standard is used to establish the three-dimensional model which is used to improve its database.By studying the connection method commonly used in the hydraulic pipeline system,the shape feature is analyzed to realize the rapid generation of the connection model in the designing.At the same time,the hydraulic pipe clamp standard database is established,and the tube clip configuration recommended standard is integrated into the program to achieve the automatic configuration of the pipe clamp.Finally,the characteristics of the components of the pipeline system are analyzed,and the function of "component statistics" is developed to facilitate the follow-up of the actual pick-up,processing and assembly process.The redevelopment method based on family table,UDF and Pro/Toolkit which is chosen by analyzing the secondary development method provided by Pro/E,and the development purpose is considered.Family table is used for the establishment and improvement of standard parts database;The UDF method is used for parameter-driven feature modeling to achieve the rapid design ofcommonly used connections;Pro/Toolkit is a toolkit,it is used in the entire development process.The parameter extraction,rule integration,menu customization and a series of functions can be realized by internal function in Pro/Toolkit.Family table and UDF is designed under the Pro/E5.0 in win7 system,Functions in Pro/Toolkit act as the seamless interface of Pro/E secondary development,the code is written on the VS2008 platform and generates a runnable DLL application.At the same time,the necessary auxiliary documents and man-machine interface is customized according to the characteristics of the program.Ultimately,all of the development results is operated in the Pro/E5.0platform.The "hydraulic pipeline layout assistance system" is constituted by all the development content together,which achieved good results by applied it in a hydraulic system to assist the pipeline layout.The design process realized the direct matching of some design commands in piping layout,improved design efficiency and enhanced the competitive advantage.
