Design Research On Kitchen And Dining Room In Elderly Facilities

Dining is the old man is an important part of the daily life for elderly,it not only relates to the old man's health,but also affect the mood of the old man and the quality of life.The space which related to the eating behavior of the eldedly in eldedly facilities,not only bear the dining function,but also has some versatility,so he kitchen and dining room is an important function space in elderly facilities.However,our country has just entered the aging society,the project designing and the construction of the elderly facilities is still in the in the exploratory stage.Designers has some cognized problems,such as awareless the demand of the elderly for space,does't paying attention to autonomy of the old man.Resulting in the lack of space diversity,function simplification,streamline cross,,and many other problems.Therefore,this paper researched the designing methods of the kitchen and dining room in elderly facilities,Using some research method such as field research and the test of practice project.I obtaing four research results at last,they are as followed.Firstly,I made an in-depth research on the domestic elderlyf acilities,analyzed the usage condition of the existing space in the second chapter.I Summarized some issues of the kitchen and dining rooms design.Secondly,in the third chapter the author analysises the kitchen and dining room in elderly facilities of the developed foreign countries,and summarized the design experience.I researched the elderly facilities in Spain,Japan and Australia,and summarizes the advanced experience and concept of the kitchen and dining room.On the basis of the foreign designing experience and the analysis of the present problem of the elderly facilities in our country.I served the using process of the kitchen and dining room as the clue of my research,and then I analyse the behavioral characteristics of the users and their demands about the space.I summarized the design points of he kitchen and dining rooms in elderly facilities in Chapter V,the content include the site selection,the planning of area,the combing of streamline,and interior design points of each space and so on.Finally,the sixth chapter introductions the Hangzhou Yintai city transforming project which I participated in,and the designing program of kitchen and dining room in<The standard designing comp image of Community elderly day care center>.On the basis of the previous chapters on research,and combining with the specific content of the project which I participated in.I determined the types and the position of the kitchen and dining rooms,and continued with the program design.Hoping the practical project will support the achievements of my research.
