The construction of urban subway is the most effective ways to solve urban traffic congestion.But the traditional train control system base on principle of a fixed block,the density of driving is restricted.It can't meet the requirements of large passenger flow for high density traffic.Moving block train control system based on communication can solve this issue.It can improve the line capacity and safety.This paper introduces the current situation of moving block signaling system development in domestic and international.And it introduces the control principle,model of train traction and braking.This paper explain the train car parking in limit points,two tracking method for calculating the braking process and the calculation for safe distance in details.it is based on the engineering application of Wuhan line 4,analyzed the characteristics of the signal system,architecture and the detail of system design.Firstly,complete the system structure desing and equipment of main station hardware configuration,and then design equipment configuration on trackside,deeply design and analysis the position of signal and axle counter calculation method and principles on trackside.And design the system component,including automatic monitoring system(ATS),automatic train control system(ATC),data communication subsystem(DCS),interlocking subsystem(CBI),and dsecribing the structure,principle and functions.Complete design and engineering data software in the project level.Finally,test and verify the technical specifications of the system.Moving block signal system based on communication is the first selection of current global subway line signaling system solutions.This system not only improve the performance,but also can supply the driverless and connectivity extend function in the future.This technology will have a wider range of application in rail transit.
