Study On The Renewal And Conservation Of The Enterprise Danwei Compound In Harbin Based On City Memory

Since the strategy of revitalizing the old industrial bases in northeast China being implemented from 2003 in our country,the development of the old industrial bases is facing a new phase.However,the potential of many used plants and warehouses left over in the process of “quitting city and entering suburbs” by the industrial enterprise have not been fully recognized.Bearing the city memory and culture context,the enterprise Danwei compound is often treated as old cityscape and being dismantled,by which the continuity of the city memory would be disrupted and the city would be facing a crisis of “amnesia”.Harbin,being the core industrial city of the old industrial bases in northeast China,the renewal and conservation of the enterprise Danwei compound would be of great importance for the continuity of the city memory,the conservation of the industrial culture and the shape of the city characteristics.Therefore,it is worth thinking about how to extend the city culture context and to retain distinctive “gene” like the regional environmental,cultural feature and architectural style in the process of the renewal and conservation since the enterprise Danwei compound is referred as the left over fragment of the industrial city.Under this background,this study is conducted in a new perspective,which is city memory,to discuss the renewal and conservation of the enterprise Danwei compound in Harbin,the status quo of the renewal and conservation of the enterprise Danwei compound in Harbin is acquired from the field research,and is introspected in the perspective of the continuity of the city memory,exploring the renewal and conservation ideas and strategy of the aiming at the continuity of the city memory.The ideas and strategy of the renewal and conservation of the enterprise Danwei compound in Harbin in the perspective of city memory is set to be the study emphasis for this article.The background,objectives and significance of the study is demonstrated first in this article and the cor-relational study both domestic and overseas involving the city memory theory and the renewal and conservation of enterprise Danwei compound is summarized and the methods and framework of the study is determined for the purpose of laying the foundation of the later part of this article.Then,the cor-relational theory and practice of city memory and enterprise Danwei compound is discussed and sorted in this article,and the interconnection is developed between these two factors to demonstrate the reason and enlightenment regarding the renewal and conservation of introducing city memory into the renewal and conservation of the enterprise Danwei compound.The basic situation,mnemonic cues and elements of the enterprise Danwei compound in Harbin and the practice of the renewal and conservation is being investigated and analyzed in the investigate and survey,and there are three cases regarding the renewal and conservation being selected to investigate the aspect of city memory level and introspection is conducted aiming the renewal and conservation of the enterprise Danwei compound in Harbin in the perspective of city memory.On this basis,the aim and principle of the renewal and conservation of the enterprise Danwei compound aiming at the continuity of the city memory is suggested,the ideas of renewal and conservation is discussed,and specific strategy of renewal and conservation and related conducting strategy of continuation of the city memory is proposed.
