Research On The Construction Of Artistic Conception In Gardens Of Baopu Taoist Temple "Cave Paradise"

Taoism is a local religion of Chinese nation with the longest history as well as the only religion which develops and expands in China.It is an influential and representative religion in colorful historical traditional culture in China.In Taoist and Taoism culture,gardens in Taoist temples are indispensable and vital components.At first,this paper introduces the origin of Taoism and elaborates the relation between Taoism and gardens in Taoist temples,highlighting the thought of “cave paradise”.Then,Hangzhou Baopu Taoist Temple—— the research object that this paper selects is introduced.Hangzhou Baopu Taoist Temple,which is in city but hidden in mountain forests,is a representative Taoist temple in Zhejiang and even in China.It has a long history and historical cultural traces polished by time and tide.The author explores its road to seek Taoism and studies its landscape architecture techniques,spatial form layout and poetic imagery of garden of “cave paradise” from a professional perspective.This paper explores and analyzes site selection,entrance,entire distribution,spatial sequence,rockery-pile and water-scenery-building and plant furnishing.Eventually,this paper presents a summary and points out the inspirations of poetic imagery of garden of “cave paradise” for other gardens.
