This thesis focuses on design methods beginning with concern of fragment of phenomenon in Chinese traditional gardens,which may have a similarity between phenomenon and collage.This thesis attempts to take the collage as a modern method and chooses the Master of Nets Garden as the main analysis object,which carries on the combing of history and the spatial analysis of the Master of Nets Garden,in which attempts to explore if there is a collage method under the fragment performance in Chinese traditional gardens.The first chapter of this thesis attempts to discuss the potential similarity between gardens and collages.Firstly,it discusses the fragment of the garden scene,the scene composition of objects,contingent problems and bizarre feeling.Moreover,it attempts to explore the meaning of collage.As a close to the Repair in "The Savage Mind" and the Collage interpretation in "Collage City" by Colin Rowe,which is different from the structure and the event of composition.Moreover,collage in its development process gradually strengthened its automatic conception and irrational juxtaposition and become a language form.And then I may have these questions,if the construction of the garden is hidden through the individual pieces into the overall method? Is there a grammatical structure similar to the collage?The second chapter of this thesis takes the Master of Nets Garden as an example,which starts the analysis of the collage of the garden from two clues.One is to argue the logic construction of garden from the fragment generation to the generated garden,and the other is to distinguish between the various levels of the formation of the daily collage(repair,combination)and abnormal collage.This chapter starts from different aspects,from the emergence of the texture fragments,to the word and the word of theme coherence,to the object and the object of apposition,and then to the scene and the scene of the apposition,and finally from the view of time duration to recognize fragment of scene and the collage of garden.Each section demonstration firstly through the debris to the collectivity process,and then identify its daily and abnormal.The last chapter comes back to the garden and collage,the garden creates a kind of debris through the way of bonding,and collage is also made by individual collage,which both different from some kind of absolute overall control and rely from the event to the structure of the way.However,the "Collage" of garden is often different with the collage.Most of the time,the collage of the garden is in the pursuit of the ultimate integration,like "Nature outside,in the heart of the source."
