Case Study Of The Pool In The Master-of-Nets Garden And Its Significance For Contemporary Waterscape Design

Water has always been the eternal theme in the garden,for the traditional Chinese garden,water is an indispensable existence,but also throughout the core of the garden architecture.In this paper,the author chooses the pool in the Master-of-Nets Garden as a case study,and explores the function of the pond and the value and function of the humanistic feelings behind it for the contemporary garden waterscape through its historical evolution and combining with the living situation in the garden.As a representative of many private gardens in the Jiangnan region,the Master of the Nets Garden is built around the main pool in the garden.The building is built on water.The existence of the pool makes the small space of the Master of Nets garden more abundant and playable.At four o'clock,the sunrise and the sunset,every moment of change and scene will touch people's senses through the magnification of the pool.This natural power that can drive the garden atmosphere and human feeling is the charm of the pool in the garden.This article attempts to explore the significance and value of the Net Master Garden's pool in the garden from the aspects of cultural connotation and space creation.From small to large,it further explores the application of water landscape in contemporary landscape design.In today's internationalized era,cultural convergence in many fields certainly has positive significance for China's cultural progress,but it is also equally precious for the inheritance and development of China's traditional culture.Under this background,the author hopes to explore its inspiration to contemporary water environment design through an in-depth study of traditional Chinese garden water features and its unique significance and function.
