Quality of wheel and axle is also relevant to the security of railway operation and meanwhile is an influential factor of railway cost.From this perspective,the development and application of vehicle axle technology can be the embodiment of one nation's high level in freight load and high-speed transportation and is also one of the critical elements in railway leapfrog development.Based on analysing the development of the wheel and axle technology,maintenance technology and detection technology,how to optimum of wheel set breakdown,maintenance and assembly process control are studied under the background of the reconstruct of wheel and axle maintenance line in car depot West of Lanzhou Railway Station.Firstly,this paper carries on a preliminary research and analysis of the new craft and technology that are adopted in current domestic and foreign axle processing and assembling,makes process optimization and design modification to the axle overhauling production line.According to the railway corporation regulations and production status,this paper designs proper processing procedures,which taking how to improve product quality as the key goal helps to realize the automation and storage management of the processing,assembling and testing in axle production from the application of wheel-axle processing,assembly line production and stereoscopic warehouse.Second,new technology,new equipment and new materials are adopted in the design.Fully automatic production line of axle and wheel cake machining,up-down material assignment flaw detection,size test,and wheel set pressure installation operation are realized,as well as automatic intelligent storage,measurement,matching of axle,wheel set and bearing.This paper expatiates some new machining and assembling technique which are used in the design.The article introduces the performance and technical parameters of the corresponding device selected on the axle assembly production lines,and tells of how to properly use and adjust equipment,with a view to decrease cost and improve quality.Numerical control forming grinder and cylindrical grinder are used,and the quality is fine.They can measure,store and transmit static for axle journal and dustproof seat information.Automatic machine is adopted to inspect some dimension of the axle,instead traditional manual measuring and it is more credible.The measuring data can be share with HMIS system.Wheel lathe and boring machine are used,which are controlled by microcomputer.They can clamp automatically and cut close.They can accomplish wheel cutting and precision finishing of arc.Finally,rely on advanced design concepts,flexible axle processing line is fully considered in the design,and equipment is extensible to reserve interface foe repair tooling change with the continuous application of new technology.The common problem of domesticwheel factory production process can not be increased according to the technical requirements of the development process are solved.Depending on experiences accumulated over the years about axle management and use of equipment,the author analyzes the reasons in relation to qualities that often occur during the axle assembly.Using adult factory grade HMIS system for wheel-axle,share the data of rolling stock information system and microcomputer control and the collection of data is more convenient and quicker.There is the stable foundation on better using the axle production line and making higher-quality axle.Axle information construction is emphasized in the design.Date of whole process can be shared from entering,checking up,cleaning,inspection,decomposition,processing and so on.Majority of data is collected and communicated directly by the equipment to ensure data accuracy,realize the management information and intelligent matching function.
