The Exploration Of The Traditional Garden Culture In The Cantonese Culture

In terms of Guangdong traditional garden culture,the emphasis is the exploration of Cantonese culture in the traditional gardens of Guangdong province.The four major gardens in south of Five ridges are the core representations of the entire Lingnan architectural gardens,which is the representative case in the existing traditional gardens of Guangdong area as well as the important composing part of Chinese traditional garden culture.The garden layouts,architectural styles,stone-layouts and water-designing,flower and tree cultivation and other garden constitutions all express the essence of Cantonese culture.This paper takes the Four Famous Gardens in south of Five ridges as the examples for the exploration and studies the garden culture by dividing them into two aspects of material culture and spiritual culture,adopts the literature research method,field investigation method,historical analysis method,conclusion method,emphasizes the combination of practice and theories,regards he Four Famous Gardens in south of Five ridges as the main research points,garden aesthetics,symbol theory and symbolization culture as the line,and the Cantonese culture as the face for the combined research.At first,it analyzes the material culture in Guangdong traditional gardens,divides the material culture in the garden into three parts of architectural technique,water stone technique,flower and tree cultivation,explores them and the Cantonese culture from the garden entity;in the next,it analyzes and discusses two great points of garden spiritual culture by dividing them into two major points of art comprehensive spirits and social historical spirits.Art comprehensive spirit refers to the plaque,inscription,paintings and other things.The social historical spirit means the clansman,geomancy,open style,and discusses the Guangdong traditional garden culture from these two aspects,associates the material culture and spiritual culture of traditional garden;in the end,through the analysis and summary of the above contents,it provides the new thinking for the contemporary Guangdong garden construction.It emphasizes the application of traditional garden culture,summarizes and analyzes the architectural forms,decoration,stone-layout and water-designing of traditional gardens in the contemporary Guangdong gardens,summarizes the two forms that apply traditional garden culture into the contemporary garden: times and inheritance.The exploration of traditional garden culture in view of the cantonese culture,This paper summarizes the application of material culture elements and spiritual cultureexpression in the design of contemporary garden in guangdong.
