The facts of the Iraq War and other modern war show that air raid and anti air raid is one of the main mode of the future war,and missile defense will throughout the whole process of war,and influence the process and ending of the war in some points.Air defense and anti missile is mainly embodied in the ground defense weapons, and air defense missiles are the most effective defense weapons for kinds of incoming medium and high altitude targets as its excellent performance in accuracy, range and power. As air defense missiles, the main part for destroying the targets is the warhead. The discrete rod warhead is one of the most effective defense weapons in the field of air defense missile warhead. It can cut and damage the target, destroy it and disable the attack ability. At present, most of the discrete rod warheads are made of single stage with single the damage unit.Considering the two aspects of being a multi-purpose bomb and improving the explosive power, this paper presents a multistage discrete rod warhead with a combination of arc rod and cylindrical rod.According to different arrangement structures of bars, this paper designs an arc rod with a center angle of 30 degrees and cylindrical rod which are combined to form of a controllable discrete rod warhead with combined discrete rod.In this paper, the research will be divided by the following two numerical simulations:1.Using finite element analysis software ANSYS/LS-DYNA to do numerical simulation about the influence of the discrete rod parameters caused by different initiation point, different bar assembly method and different bar material.2.Using finite element software to do numerical simulation when a discrete rod with different shapes and materials that penetrates vertically into an equivalent target plate. The exploratory conclusions obtained from the simulation can provide some reference for the structural design of air defense and antimissile warhead.
