In order to study the new technology of aimed warhead applied to anti-aircraft ammunition and improve the aimed warhead’s ability to intercept and attack the aerial target, a new slider aimed warhead is designed. By combining theoretical research with numerical simulation and experiment, the fragment density, fragment velocity and gains of the slider aimed warhead were studied. Also, the influence, of the factors including the convergence mode of the sliders, the material configuration of the inner and outer cylinder shell and the thickness of the shells, on the energy gain is analyzed.The results show that, compared with the eccentric detonation aimed warhead which has same total mass and explosives, the fragment density of slider aimed warhead increases by 53.23% within the range of 90 degree in the orientation direction. And the average velocity of the fragmentations reduces by 16.41%, however, the gain of total kinetic energy is 107.7%. The smaller mass ratio of the shells and sliders is, the greater the number of fragments is, and however, the lower the velocity of fragment is. The greater the thickness ratio of shells is, the lower the velocity of fragment is. The smaller the thickness of shells, the material configuration coefficient of the cylinder shells relative to the sliders and the strength of shells are, the greater the velocity is. The gains of fragments distribution and velocity can be improved by optimizing the slider aimed warhead parameters mentioned above. Meanwhile, the ability to damage target can also be enhanced.
