Research On The Elderly-oriented Modular Space Design In Small Apartment

The problem of aging is the focus of attention of the whole society,facing the problem of aging increasing rapidly,our country urgently needs to construct a large number of the elderly residential quickly and efficiently,so the design method of the residential building space appears particularly necessary.The paper obtains the inspiration from the manufacturing industry,the main reason of the rapid development of modern manufacturing industry is the modularization.Residential is also a part of industrial product.Why not absorb the advantages of the manufacturing industry,to introduce the concept of modular into the residential space design,let the advantages of manufacturing applications in the elderly residential.The most important content of modular space design is the standardization,all the modules or components of the residential space execute the same standards.The paper divided a residential into seven modules as kitchen module,toilet module,living room module,bedroom module,etc.All the modules are subject to the same standard,so the modular space can be composed with the certain rules.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.Briefly describes the current situation and characteristics of aging problem in china;2.Obtain the inspiration from the manufacturing industry,introduce the concept of modular into the residential space design;3.Expound the concept and basic theory of module and modular space;4.Analysis the key points of the design of the elderly residential space;5.Divided the residential into several functional modules,and design these modules according to the different physiological stages in the elderly;6.Practice the method of elderly-oriented modular space design in the Nanjing Yanziji affordable housing project.
