Small and medium-sized residential becomes the inevitable outcome of historical development under the impetus of national policy,national building standard design atlas “Small and medium-sized residential design” 09SJ903-1 and "residential fine design" that written by Yanmin zhou,the professor from the college of architecture,Tsinghua university,have laid a solid foundation for the study of it.This paper studies for small and medium-sized residential,starts with the basic theories of architecture,design,psychology,behavior science,Feng Shui,economics,artificial intelligence,human body engineering and so on,through collating and studying a large number of pictures,literature,research and case analysis,it analyses the space optimization and detailed design of small and medium-sized residential,and residential elements and design evaluation,finally puts forward the method route,design key points and implementation plan of small and medium-sized residential interior space optimization and detailed design,this can provide a more systematic and reasonable way to design activities for the designers in the field.Firstly,through sorting out the research results and the present situation in and out of China about the space design of small and medium-sized residential,this paper tries to find out the important basis of studying small and medium-sized residential space optimization and detailed design.Secondly,bases on the market orientation and psychological demands of consumers about dwellings,this paper has confirmed that small and medium-sized residential space optimization and detailed design are the development trend in today's society.Thirdly,this paper has put forward the suitable optimization principle and method of small and medium-sized residential space optimization,to provide a certain theoretical support for the sustainable development of the space design of small and medium-sized residential.Then,this paper analyses the concept,connotation and main points deeply of the precise design of small and medium-sized residential space,to lead to the guiding significance about the kitchen space,bathroom space,living room,bedroom space,and balcony space design of small and medium-sized residential indoor.At last,this paper finishes the practice of small and medium-sized residential space optimization and detailed design,finds out and solves some problems that may occur,and further verifies the feasibility and importance of the research.The results of the study show that: small and medium-sized residential is the inevitable product of the residential development,and the inevitable result of the development of social economy,too.It will develop in the direction of space optimization and detailed design,space optimization design should reflect the principles of comfort,saving and adaptability,meanwhile,it also need to use the design methods of functional overlay,spatial integration,variable type,and open design techniques;in order to make up for the limiting factors of the space optimization design,analyses the basic demand and storage requirements of small and medium-sized residential space deeply,and proposes the design points and methods of different spaces.Paper innovation points: The author puts forward that the small and medium-sized residential space optimization should be combined with the fine design,that can real carry out the scientific outlook on development from architecture and design,overall and partial,space planning and detailed design,reasonable space layout and maximize the use of space and so on,,and reflect the modern design idea of designing for people,and designing for life.
